Nobody think Orlando Magic will finish top 8 in Eastern Conference. Orlando Magic is definitely under the radar.

What do you think?

In my opinion there will be surprise surprise.... 6th spot.

In all honesty I feel like we have just as much or more talent than all but about 4 or 5 teams in the East,

Boston- Were already the favorite and more stacked than ever.

Milwaukee- highest ceiling but lowest floor with Giannis' knee concerns. Lost some depth in the trade.

Miami-I'm calling fluke that they made it to the finals with 44 wins or whatever but still have to be respected.

Philly- ???? Who knows with Harden situation. Embiid's health is always a question basically.

Cleveland-young and growing, stacked with all stars but no superstar.

And that's it.

This trade wasn't some conspiracy - it was just a GM wanting AD bad enough where in most people's eyes he overpaid by a long shot to get him.

The Magic could finish anywhere from like the 6 seed to missing the play in entirely and neither would shock me all that much.

The Knicks are clearly better IMO.

The Magic are closer to the Heat than the Knicks I’d say.

52 wins will probably be good enough for a top 3 finish.

That would still be a successful season. I'll take it!

21 year old Durant led OKC to 50 wins. If Paolo is that quality of player he can do the same.

Paolo, Franz, Suggs, oh my. It's happening.

I see us in contention most of the year but falling short of the play in at 11 or 12 seed

Voted for Top 3 for the good vibes and the fact that I really like the versatility on this roster. Please just let us be relatively healthy for us to pull it off!

11th and 12th last year had 35 wins. If the Magic don't top 35 wins, then something probably went wrong.

It is possible that we miss. There won’t be easy games now especially with load management possibly out of the equation. Players will wants to play more games for season awards

I’ll be an optimist. I think this is a lower end playoff team, not play in. I can see the Magic winning 45 games if they stay relatively healthy and the expected improvements in the rosters individual play happens. I can see a 6 or 7 seed here.
You look confused...let me fill you in.

Agreed my guess is 45 with relative health. I'm not even counting Isaac in that, but the rest of the roster. If Isaac manages to stick around and plays around 20 minutes per game, we may be pushing 50.

I think they'll be one of the best defensive teams in the league. The nights the offense is clicking will be easy wins. The nights its not we'll still be competing because of the defense.

Talking to my colleague who is a Knicks fan he looked at me crazy when I said the Magic will make the playoffs. A Lot of people just don't know much about this team.

Missing the play-in would be an absolute disaster of a season IMO (whether it’s due to poor overall play or injuries). We’re young but we have major contributors in their 4th, 5th, 6th, etc seasons. It’s time to start winning at a decent clip while we wait for Paolo and Franz to fully develop. We can’t finish 11th or worse with this group.

I am starting to think you are not being sarcastic with your 52-win views. To believe in 52 wins means to believe that Fultz is a top-15 PG. And that Orlando's bench depth will keep the team in most games no matter how the starters are doing on a given night.
