What’s up Orlando Magic board !!!!
Outsider in need of some love, hopefully. I love Isaac love love love Isaac that’s my boy he’s a monster……..when Healthy. I drafted him last in fantasy league because when healthy he’s a monster.
I think he’s your best defender and if you’re serious about winning he’s going to have to get minutes if he’s healthy. I can see where he doesn’t necessarily fit your timeline now with all the awesome kids you guys have. Looking at your roster regarding the bench and who he would have to beat out for as many minutes as possible I think he’s better that Mo / Okeke /Harris / Ingles - correct me if I’m wrong but I think those are your backups at the 3-4-5 ?
From those in the now I’d love to hear what Orlando homers know. All of it, minutes, outlook, what’s your coaching situation regarding him…….please and thanks
I hope he’s healthy and a tremendous boost for you guys this year. It would be super rad if you guy’s surprise people this year and win a lot games.

Isaac is going to open the season as the backup PF. He's 100% in the rotation right now. Okeke is a third stringer. Ingles is the backup SF and Moritz is the backup C.
Jonathan will probably play anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes each game depending on the circumstances of the game.
One thing worth keeping an eye on... thus far in three preseason Isaac has *not* played two stretches in the same game.
He'd play one 7 to 9 minute stretch with the 2nd unit in the first half, then they'd go with bottom of the roster guys in the 2nd half.
I'm not sure yet if he's going to be a on a full blown minute restriction when the season opens up, but it's definitely something to monitor.

Thanks...I agree with everything you said IF HE'S HEALTHY.
So far, so good...I think he'll play 10-15 mpg and if all goes well, maybe up to 20 at times later in the year. He could get minutes at all frontcourt positions, IMO, and do serious defensive damage to any opponents offensive schemes. There' really nobody like him...he IS the biggest guy on the team...I've walked by the bench and he's inches taller than everyone currently on the roster and yet he has the greatest defensive impact on the perimeter...then, he gets back and meets an opposing center at the rim. Nobody does that except him. I love him in this role - unleashed as needed and able to keep his overall minutes down and be super impactful whenever he gets on the court. The way Suggs is looking defensively, this could really be something to build on if the effort is contagious.
Even at 15mpg, he's worth keeping because I think his impact is that powerful, even if brief - he can change the momentum of a game quickly.

He’s a literal game-changer when healthy. He’ll be a major key to how well we perform this season.

Went to the draft party and was really, really happy we drafted him. But I don't think he's got it upstairs. Although nowadays I think the mental aspect of basketball has shifted drastically.

Book of his basketball career will always be more bitter than sweet and unfinished.
He was one of the best individual defenders for big out there and his body just tapped out.
Fact he is 26 and can't handle more than several min of sports is depressing to think about.
Any new injury is probably career ender at this point. Hopefully he can survive season without new injury, even if that means playing 10 mpg and for some 40-50 games.
His offense never really developed into anything, it's kind a non existing really. But i can't even hold that against him.

you are going to be disappointed because his minutes will be limited and he will be on and off the injury list all season.

If healthy Isaac slows down the growth of the future.

We're got TWO guys in the frontcourt that are clearly better and more promising than Isaac. He's not a threat to take time from either. He's not going to be pushing for a starting spot, even healthy - unless he morphs into a Center. He plugs in as a really strong sub at various spots, so I can't see how he slows progressive growth (other than at his speaking engagements)

I can see a world where Paolo plays the 5 over JI just to get that defensive presence on the court.

I love revolutionary...could easily be "bad idea-never mind", but I'm down to give it a look.

Lol...my bad - meant to say I can see Paolo playing the 5 (implying JI at the 4) in order to get JI's defense on the court.

Isaac, Suggs and Wendell appear to be our only guys who can impact the defensive end.

Anthony is an elite rebounder on the defensive end. The only better rebounders at his height are Stephen Curry, Russell Westbrook, Ja Morant and Kyrie Irving. That's something.
