Let's talk about this defense.

It has been shutting down some high level scorers so far this season. Yes, it has only been 6 games but it will continue to trend upward. This is due mostly in part of the guards Fultz, Black, and Suggs. Mosely has made it clear that the defense is a top priority for this teams success. We sit currently at 2nd in defensive rating leaguewide.

10/25 - Win
Jalen Green - 2/10fg , 0/1 3PT, 6/7 FT, 10pts - Season average 17.2
Fred Vanvleet- 5/13fg, 4/6 3PT, 0/0 FT, 14pts - Season average 17.8

10/28- Win
Shaedon Sharpe- 9/23fg, 4/11 3PT, 2-2FT, 24pts - Season average 20.1
Scoot Henderson - He hasn't been good so far, so not worth tracking.

10/30- Loss
D'Angelo Russell- 10/14fg, 3/6 3PT, 5/5 FT, 28pts -Season average 18 He killed us this game.
Austin Reaves - 5/12fg, 1/4 3PT, 0/0 FT!, 11pts Season average 12.5

10/31- Loss
Russell Westbrook 8/16fg, 0/4 3PT, 2/2 FT, 18pts - Season average 15.2
Bones Hyland 6/14fg, 4/7 3PT, 1/2 FT, 17pts - Season average 13.6

11/02- Win
Jordan Clarkson 5/20fg, 2/8 3PT, 9/9 FT, 21pts- Season average 14.2
Talen Horton-Tucker 7/14fg, 1/4 3PT, 0/0 FT, 15pts - Season average 11

11/04- Win
D'Angelo Russell - 4/17fg, 1/10 3PT, 2/2 FT, 11pts - Season average 18
Austin Reaves - 7/11fg, 3/5 3PT, 3/4 FT, 20pts - Season average 12.5

I feel like a lot of these games go as the guard defense goes. We will see what happens tonight against Luka and Kyrie. It will be a good test.

This season's theme: As our guard defense goes, so goes the game. Proud of our team's defensive resilience and adaptability.
