We need to bounce back after that abysmal second half the other night.
Hopefully JI plays his regular minutes off the bench

Indeed. Going to be a tough challenge. Good test of where we're at since this is a neutral court.

Need this win. Hawks are a good team and a division rival. Magic needs to win to show they're serious.

What's a deal look like with our division rivals? Who that could actually get us Griffin would we want to face 4+ times a year?

This should be a good test for us. .The Hawks have looked pretty good this year...I wasn't sure the Trae/Dejounte pairing would ever work, but it seems like they might have figured things out.
This may also be a good example that coaching actually matters in the NBA, and Quinn Snyder is pretty good...or Nate McMcillan is not...or both.

Honestly this is a big game ( also being one of the only games on tonight) casue it's our first eastern conference opponent, against a division rival, that we will be fighting for a playoff spot with( if we are as good as we think we can be).

If we are taking that next step winning this would go a long way in showing that.

I honestly don't think we pull this one out, I called after the mavs game a little 4-5 game losing skid ( especially with the injuries) and I'm gonna stick to that.

Can they win???... of course they can, but that will only come when they stop shooting themselves in the foot and take that next step of seriousness.

Yessir! Let’s go out and win this men. I would really like some type of a statement win against a divisional opponent. First eastern conference game at that. Our record is better this year, but I do remember early last year we were coming out early in games and stomping the sh*t out of teams just to collapse in the 2nd half. I’d love for them to come out strong like that and then try and win every remaining quarter. Winning quarters translates to winning games.

The defense will definitely be put to the test tonight. Can't get frustrated on that end and have to communicate better. Similar to the Mavs in how the execute in the pick & roll, Trae and Dejounte are very good at it especially Trae. Then they have shooters all over the roster.

I do think we can attack them downhill along with punishing Trae on the offensive end since he is not a good defender. Gotta hit shots from the outside consistently in order to do that. At the end of the day though, Franz AND Paolo need to play well. Cannot afford them to have off-nights. I think we get Markelle back for this game. LET'S GO MAGIC!

Hey! A trade I wouldn’t mind at all… depending on what we would give up.

Under Quin, Hawks aren't running as much PnR as in seasons pass under Nate. More ball and player movement, motion offense.

Quin is running an 8 man rotation trying to install his new offensive and defensive scheme. AJ is getting squeezed with Bey and Bogi getting most of the minutes at SG and SF. His team defense is what is keeping him off the floor for now. He's still in the Hawks long term plans.

This could be a real test for Black (or Fultz-if he's back)...Murray is a terror on-ball and would relish torturing a rookie

I am not optimistic about this game, but I know we’ll need both Franz and Paolo to produce tonight. Good luck Magic!!!
