What can we do about P5 getting stripped when driving?

Post#1 » by Mule Tears » Thu Nov 23, 2023 3:25 am

He did this several times tonight — driving to the basket from the 3pt line, and immediately gets stripped before he can even enter the paint.

He was notorious for this last year and I’m saddened to see marginal improvement in this category this year.

How do we stop this?

He will improve as he gets more experience. He had a high turnover rate to start the season and that seemed to improve. The stripping will correct it self as well.

I thought something similar, and the only answers that popped in my head were 1) the refs missing to call a couple fouls, and 2) go talk to Jalen Suggs on how he manages to put a layup in the air under any circumstances. haha

Only a matter of time before Paolo figures things out and explodes into a super star.

Time and experience. Has to just stay aggressive. This is a 6’10, 250-lb 21 year old that just played Center for Team USA. It’s impressive that he can even drive into the paint like he does.

When he figures it out and those strips start turning into fouls and more trips to the stripe, that’s when his game is going to hit the next level

Enjoying the win tonight does not fix the issue of his butter fingers. It happened every game with no improvement.

Weirdo.
