Ive always sensed some kind of "disconnect" between Paolo and Franz. Obviously nothing factual, just more of a body language thing between seeing how they act towards other teammates vs. how they act directly, both on TV and what I see when im at the games. I go to every home game (minus Mexico) and I usually travel to Memphis or Atlanta to see them play and use it as vacation time with the wife.
This morning I went to grab a latte from Starbucks on Orange & Pineloch and guess who I ran into.... Mr Banchero, Mr Wagner, and Mr Swagner. They were inside at the table in the corner so I sat at the couch adjacent and kind of just basked in the fact that my 3 current favorite players are literally sitting 15 ft away. They were cracking up, laughing their asses off, and just seemed like they were close buds. Made me very happy to see. It also shows that I think Franz, more than Paolo or Mo really turns tunes out the "buddy thing" and locks in on the game and maybe thats why sometimes he seems... distant? I dont know
Anyways, when they got up to leave I had to be that annoying guy and asked for a picture. I dont know how to post pictures because I dont use social media, but I will tell you what: Im nearly 6'5, and these guys were massive. Paolo is actually shorter than Franz, and Mo is bigger than both. Paolos body is build like a fkn piece of steel man, I know you can tell on TV but its way more imposing when hes standing next to you. Also, Mo looks like Arnold Schwarzenegger up close lol. Franz's legs looked like missiles, dude has mean quads.
Anyways, just sharing because it was cool watching them interact without cameras around. These dudes are like brothers. Oh and the craziest part, it seemed like no one at Starbucks knew who the hell they were which is crazy to me! Ill post the picture when I figure it out so you can see the dumbass hoodie Mo was wearing
