We need rotational players on the floor. Time to move on from 2 of the 4 on this list. Fultz, JI, Suggs, and WCJ.
Who do you keep and why?
Who do you move on from and why?

Feel free to sub Gary in.

I dont think the question is fair, but i would keep Suggs and JI while trading Fultz WCJ.
I would think about WCJ vs JI but Carter skill set feels easier to replace (Goga).

This is a legitimate question. You cannot continue investing this much in guys who are completely unreliable. Welt doubled down on Isaac and Fultz despite their injury histories, and nothing has changed. They will not suddenly become durable. Suggs and WCJ aren't much better. If Suggs is out for a while with this latest injury, it will mean he still hasn't proven he can play much more than half a season. I mean, this is 3 of your starters and your best bench player (arguably), and it's every year.
I would dump Isaac and Fultz because the sample size for each is more than big enough to know that this is who they will always be.
I don't have much hope for Suggs or WCJ staying healthy, but the bar is so low compared to Fultz and Isaac that I guess you take their 50 games a season until something better comes along.

What’s not fair? How do we make it more fair? We need to move on from at least some of our injury prone players.

WCJr., Harris, Fultz, Suggs and Isaac make up half of our regular rotation and between them they have had exactly one season where they individually missed fewer than 20 games in the last 5 years (Fultz in 2019/20). So yeah, I think it's time for a change.

I get the circumstance. This feels like an overreaction though. By end of season I am totally ready to debate this.
But I am right and keeping Suggs and JI is the better move.

two twisted ankles and a broken hand on a game winning play. Not sure what's up with Fultz's knee. It is what it is. It just sucks that they all have to have happened with player that have questionable history... but some of the things aren't as serious to have to come to any conclusions. Just gotta weather the storm and promote that extra depth we have this season. #nextmanup
hope jett gets a sniff at the court within this span.

I’m good with another season or two of data. Fultz will likely be the first decision. Love Fultz the person and having him around but he is a future 3rd string PG for me. I doubt he would stay for that.

I have no idea how long it takes to recovery from knee soreness without surgery. I am worried about his long term diagnosis and him restoring his value.
At this point, I do not see any of the trade threads for return of value from him that doesn't dismantle the chemistry gained by addition through subtraction.
In every sense of the word, I personally feel like Fultz career is a tragedy due to injury. Much like even JI or Grant Hill, Yao Ming, Greg Oden and so on.

To me a lot of this is a little bit of an overreaction. There isn't a squad out there that does not deal with multiple injuries within one season. Typically they're deep enough to deal with it.
The only issue is severity, which right now none of the guys lost are out for a crazy amount of time. 3 of them (Issac, Fultz, and Carter) are likely to be back in 2 weeks. Whilst Suggs will probably return by the end of January.

Where did you find this injury report?

This list should be 3 people if you were paying attention to who was essential to the 9 game win streak the Magic just had. 2 of these 4 had nothing to do with that streak whatsoever.

I don't think this is an overreaction at all. Surprised that is even a take. Maybe with WCJ and Suggs, but Isaac and Fultz are injured more than they are healthy.

For humor sake lets say I disagree.
Player A becomes available.
Post made on how we get player A with no asset.
Player gets injured
Post made on getting rid of player
Some of it, is simple cause and effect. Which is why, spite my "feeling" like this is an overreaction and not just the gyrations of a 82 game NBA season. Which is why I made my comment while also playing along.
The forum seems to agree 70/30 i'd say now that the time has already come to move on from Fultz. JI I think we have moved on to a hopeful "load management" off the bench role for him but also prepared to move on.
WCJ + Suggs then becomes the plausible talent you keep based on our assertions. It is interesting, of the 4 players. If two comes back from an injury tomorrow they retain 100% of their value.
Fultz needs to reclaim it after the 9 game winning streak. JI needs to regain it from the stand point of constant injury.

I just want to be healthy come playoff time.
Look at Boston they play players injured during the playoffs. Like Thomas and Williams. Both players looked washed now.

Fultz: Gone...health regardless
WCJ: Shop him and see, also maybe see if he can adapt to more traditional C play upon his return
Isaac: This is THE season to decide. Honestly, if he's not back very shortly, time may already be up. If he's not playing in 75% of the games (even at 15mpg, I like him), time to cut bait. I believe next year is non-guaranteed. Maybe another team takes a shot at a huge salvage win (like we did with Fultz and PHO with Grant Hill). Summer FA class isn't stellar, but there are good 2-way forwards to fill his role and maybe even add to the offense...like Kyle Anderson. MIN has a monstrous payroll and might have to let him go...he's a very good player.
Suggs: Absolute keeper. However, he may have significant trade value as a defensive pace-setter, so, IMO, not 100% keep. If, say, we added a Caruso or G. Payton for not a lot and we moved Suggs for a stud young scoring Guard, we'd have to consider it. Also, Black might be a guy that could fill the Suggs role...you don't have to tell me that Suggs is better than Black, Caruso, Payton...I know. But, in the interest of building a team, you have to consider what comes back. I'm definitely in Keep on Suggs, but...

Thing with JI is that teams usually dont win without players similar to him. Thats why Celtics traded for KP even though he is injured almost as often as JI. We need one good stretch in the playoffs thats it. I predict we will draft a lot of long athletic defenders in the future
