Watching the game last night slip away I couldn't help myself but smile. Losing sucks. It has been over a decade for us. We have become a pessimistic fanbase that changes their opinion by the game. I am guilty One night it's "Paolo cant make a lay up and is soft" next night "Paolo is HIM, All star" "AB shouldnt see the floor" then "Unleash the rookie". The JI debacle, Cole going cold, Suggs getting trigger happy, Jett or Goga not playing. I am not a GM or a coach. Just a fan. What do I know?

One thing I know for sure is MAGIC BASKETBALL IS FUN AGAIN! Talking Magic with my dad and brother brings me back to the Dwight days. Even my barbershop is talking magic again. I know we have holes but this team is legit. When they are on, they are a top 8 team in this league. What a bright future this team has. Let's get behind them during this rough patch. Continue to go to the games (if possible) and support this fun young squad.

It has been draining watching every game but it has been fun again. Finally.

100% man. I must admit, through some of the buddy ball seasons, while still a Magic fan, I was dividing my attention across a lot of the league, more just following basketball vs special attention to any one team. But these past 2 seasons have been a heap of fun, even the losses, while frustrating, are enjoyable to watch, each game I believe we can win.

As Knightro said though, will be a hell of a lot more fun once this front office actually does something.

it has been a fun season. Paolo looks good. Franz looks good, aside from his 3pt shooting in the first half of the season (which im not worried about at all). Suggs looks like he can shoot. I hated the Black pick, but kept an open mind because i dont follow the draft that closely. Now i love Black. Isaac is one of my favorite players so its good to see him healthy even if he doesnt play much. We just need a couple of pieces and continued growth.

Ok.

I'm thrilled. We've got two absolute studs in Franz and Paolo and a stable of stud prospects in Suggs, AB, and Jett. I like that Weltman is principled and methodical. I trust that he trusts the process and drowns out the noise. We are the best young team in the East in terms of talent, cap flexibility, and coaching. The Paolo/Suggs/Franz core is looking like one of the best young cores of all time. We won't likely win 50+ games but we are looking good for around 46 as a slight stretch goal. This is as good a position as we could hope for.

More fun this season than the past few. I look forward to watching AB and Suggs defense most nights.

Franz and Paolo's development has also been fun.

To echo what Knightro said... I dont like watching these young guys hit the wall when the vet talent and depth just isnt available. The FO has to understand this time is valuable and not to be taken lightly.

Funnily enough, I have less fun when there are actually expectations and stakes in play. Being garbage is its own special brand of misery, but with no expectation of winning, I can kinda just sit back and enjoy the show. But now that we're good enough that the result actually matters every night, that's when basketball regains its unfortunate ability to affect my mood.

Absolutely having fun. It’s nice to be relevant again and super exciting to see Paolo blossom this year into that end of game guy we needed.

There has to be an asterisk because we all know this current team isn’t going anywhere and they only have a week to improve. It would be another level of excitement if this franchise invested in itself.

Speaking of that, equally exciting would be any update on a rebrand.

I'm with you, OP. It's been way more fun than any season since 2010.

If you’re not having fun watching a 2nd year star return the Magic to playoff contention then what’s the bar for you to have fun? People are kidding themselves if they think things will become more “fun” with player changes. That’s just when things will get more serious and people will start complaining about the next player who simply must be traded now or else the sky will fall.

The team is making progress that can be enjoyed if you allow it. If the season is ruined for you because we didn’t trade for Tyus Jones then I’d say you ruined it for yourself

Is this season more fun than in the past decade? For sure. However, my fun has been souring due to our recent play. I know we're better than 10 wins in 28 games. So it's been a very upsetting month or two now.

I may need to take a small break to regain the fun I was having, because watching us throw away winnable games and forcing ourselves into a play-in spot where we could lose all that we built towards in just two elimination games isn't a fun thought. I want to see them perform on the biggest stage against the best of the best. That's how you get better. So really nervous about missing out on the playoffs due to all the losses.

This season has been so much fun! Man, I can't remember the last time having this much fun!

Tyus or any PG isn’t saving anything but it would be a refreshing wind for our sails.
