5 seed! Not how we wanted to end the season, but 47 wins is a MASSIVE success.

This is a positive thread, which we need after bickering and fighting all year.... let's celebrate a bit!

I'm very pleased because it would have been such a shame to make so much progress and then not make the playoffs. Even though we did make it, 47 wins shouldn't be such a tight margin. Western Conference teams dealt with that for years where high 40s was barely good enough for 8th, and it was really silly. So the NBA decided, hey, since everyone loved that so much, let's make both conferences like that every season with the play-in tournament. It's so stupid, I really can't stand the play-in format.

I mean it wouldve sucked if we were in play-in but how is the play-in not a huge win for NBA?? We've had meaningful basketball last couple weeks of regular season when its usually teams resting their best players. I love the play-in tournament

-he's the best defender in the league right now and I don't think it's close. Next year, he'll stay healthy and finally get the DPOY award and the national recognition he deserves after all of the setbacks...I swear, for anybody that actually watches games, you've got to say that he's as impactful as anyone in the league - dramatically more so than any stats could explain.

That's very true and it's a huge thing...also worth noting, everyone else but the Celtics did not enjoy that, so enjoy the success but keep working, Weltman.

What an amazing season. Expectation was just getting to .500 and making the play in. They stepped up when they needed to.

Now we are playing with house money. Young team still developing with cap space. So excited!
