I feel like we should actually have a thread on our best player, lol. Besides the one questioning if we should have drafted Chet.
Even Tari Eason's mom knows! And she loves Jabari lol

Decrease TOs and increase eFG%, and he will make an All NBA team.

Stud, absolute stud. Sky is the limit for him, you surround him with the right team, put him in the right positions, that dude is going to win things

I dunno... I kinda agree with that poster that said we should have a more Kyle Anderson PF rather than Paolo....

He´s a winner. Just look at him dominating his first playoff series at 21 years, in a team that isnt even build good to complement his strengths.

Paolo has done everything you could ask for of a 21 year old. It will be very interesting to see how he continues to develop.
The elephant in the room is his TO / EFG but if the playoffs taught us anything is that he needs more complimentary pieces to maximize his potential.

He had such an amazing year:
Game Winners
-Utah
-Bulls
-Pistons
Triple Doubles
-Denver on the road-January 5, 2024 (32/10/11)
-Pelicans-home
Career Highs
-42 against the Cavs (on the road, regular season)
-43 against the Kings (on the road, regular season-January 3, 2024) and two days later recorded his first triple double
Accolades
-Player of the Week (5th week of the season, I think)
-First all star selections
Also an amazing showing in the playoffs. He's great and it has been a pleasure watching him grow.

Interesting summary of an article. It seems like Paolo don’t want to be the point guard.
https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/275747/Paolo-Banchero-Magic-Front-Office-Wants-To-Add-Two-Way-PlayersHis playmaking is great, I can’t see him dropping that completely from his game.

He will be a superstar, very special player, the pathway for him to be a top 5 player in the league is very doable
If he improves on his FG% at the rim & 2's in general lets say a jump from 49.3% from 2's to 52% while shooting 35% from 3 and 75% from the FT line, if he shot the same amount of 2's/3's/FT's, then he would average 23.2 Pts per game instead of 22.6 and a 56.1 TS %
Fair to assume he'll shoot more next season, so the pathway to 25 Pts per game will likely happen

Paolo could have a chance to play in the Paris Olympic. Depending on Kawhi or Jure Holiday's injury

many of us have said, he could be playing more efficient with a good PG. yes, he can playmake and handle the ball, but didnt likely want to do it every time down the court.

Sounds like it and he wants two way players on the perimeter.

Translation — Fultz ain’t it, and Suggs isn’t a PG. And honestly neither is AB.
Like how he said we need someone “reliable” to run the point.

21-7-5
80 games played at 35 MPG
Multiple game winning shots
All-star
All at age 21.
And all of that with glaring deficiencies in his game. The sky really is the limit if he keeps improving the clear weak spots.

drsd needs to contact them and tell them that Banchero averaged 19.99 and not 20.

I enjoyed this recap of Paolo's regular season:

A couple of interesting bits from that Washington Post article:
Miller said Banchero’s comprehensive offseason regimen is focused on his conditioning, catch-and-shoot efficiency and explosive moves to earn free throws. The hope is that Banchero can eventually become the first Magic player to average 30 points per game since Tracy McGrady in 2002-03.
Miller said the Magic should be careful not to “overreact too much” this summer, but he agreed that acquiring “shooting and another playmaker” should be an organizational focus because Banchero “had a lot of heavy lifting this year.”
Interesting. Paolo’s camp is pushing for acquiring more playmaking and they have an intention of him becoming a 30ppg scorer.
I wonder if they’ve got guys in mind, and if they have ideas on who’s best suited to a 2-man game with Paolo?
I like that they’re planting flags for Paolo’s future already, and that they’re aiming for upper echelon.
