Making the G-League a MLB farm model

I’m curious with the new developments in the NCAA with athletes now being paid how if at all could this change the way things are done. What’s going to determine how much a college athlete can make? Will a 5 star make more than a 4 star? Are all schools going to pay the same, will a Duke, North Carolina basketball player be paid the same as a UCF or Miami basketball player? Leads me to thinking about potential changes in the G-League and the way things are done. What if….
-Every team has a G-League affiliate that’s their own.
-Anyone can enter the NBA/G-League Draft BUT to be eligible to play in the NBA right away you must have played 1 season of college sports. A graduating High School player MUST play 1 season at minimum in G-League before he’s eligible to be called up to the NBA.
-The NBA Draft expands from two rounds to 8 rounds.
-All players drafted in rounds 1-8 are able to be moved up or down between Leagues just like MLB and the team that drafted them retains exclusive rights.
-Undrafted players are basically unrestricted free agents that can be used to fill out G-League rosters but at any time other teams can deal for them.
This could potentially strengthen teams that use this system correctly and add depth to each team in case of injuries to prevent the derailment of your season. Also with each draft having the decision to be made of drafting a #1 guy to use this season right away or draft a guy that can’t play this season but could be a #1 next draft decision. Maybe what we did with Jett this season becomes the new way of doing things, had we let AB join Jett in the G-League he would have probably learned and developed more then sitting at the end of the bench.
