Where do you see Markelle Fultz next season?

I'm not saying he's not coming back...I really don't think so, but you never know what this FO's timeline, mentality, etc is.
ORL is certainly a possibility, but with a trade or FA starter likely coming in and AB and Cole eager to earn his playing time - it just doesn't make sense to me, even at a large discount from his previous $17m per. I also think it'd be really awkward to "invite" him back as 12th man with a 12th man salary. Players have a lot of pride and he'd probably prefer a fresh start rather than what looks like a "pity role" that sure looks and feels like an acknowledged demotion.
My guess is that a bottom-dwelling team like WAS signs him on a 1+ 1TO deal for $6-8m per. I really don't think he belongs in the league, unless there are some clear findings that he was significantly hampered by mysterious injuries that someone on WAS medical staff find "not so mysterious". His upside is still there and he's young, but a good team shouldn't spend the time, salary, and slot on him...certainly not ORL, who has many tools to obtain a more certain contributor right now. The experiment was definitely worthwhile, but ORL has moved out of the growth phase where it makes sense. I could see him recapturing the limited, but useful status, where he was two years ago and contributing, to some degree...but never getting the "full recovery" benefit of the doubt ORL tried for.
Where do you see him next year?

I think Fultz should honestly take a season off and fully recover physically and mentally. Wouldn’t mind at all if he was able to stay around the club in some fashion, would be good for him and the other guys. I just think ever sense he’s been in the league it’s been a roller coaster of things going on, crazy stories, and mysterious injuries. Best for him to step back and see if he really misses the game and loves it and wants to keep going.

Washington, San Antonio, Detroit, Chicago possibly. If Tyus leaves then the easy fit would be plug Fultz in with2 uber shot jackers

Yeah i wouldn't offer him any more than a minimum deal as a udonis haslem type player in his last few years where he didn't play but was a good guy to have in the locker room. I don't see where he fits in the league with how broken his game is but I'm sure someone will take a flier on him given he is still young and has some potential

I think he'll sign like a 1 year, $5-8M deal with the Spurs.

Maybe we bring him back cheap if we strike out in free agency and don't address guard rotation with the draft?
Fultz is at the age where his career should be heading towards ring chasing right? So maybe a vet minimum deal with the Lakers lol

What’s going on mentally? It’s really all physical with Fultz.

What about going to a contender cheap, he's made his money. Accepts his place in the hierarchy and becomes a contributor (nothing drastic, 9th or 10th guy) for a team that gets a bunch of national exposure and he gets a redemption story.
like the Knicks.
The narrative changes to "he stuck it out, is he still in the league? - look at that, and he helps a team on TV every week"
Or he's just broken.... and he becomes a trivia question...

I could see that…some team gives him a 1yr non-guaranteed min…and, basically tries him out. I could see him having a handful of promising games, maybe preseason or even G-League ‘rehab’…but- If he’s toast, maybe even a quiet mid-year “release/buyout/waiver” (whatever the term)…it would seem like it couldn’t be
hereas that might feel somewhat degrading for him. Injury-riddled careers usually wind down w/ multiple stops and a quiet exit. Greg Oden, Sam Bowie, etc, get a few short tries but not a glorious public retirement .

I really don't see a contender giving him a shot. A 6'4' player with a broken jumpshot who doesn't get to the line and plays mediocre D simply isn't a positive asset even on a vet minimum. And he's already 26. Sure, you can gamble he will regain his midrange somehow, but even if he does, he's still at best 7-8th guy on a actual contender and will often be unplayable in the playoffs so why bother? If he stays in a league, it probably on one of the bad teams which can afford to take a gamble and can use him as a tank commander if all else fails.

Personally hope he's back on the team at a reduced roll and pricetag. I still love Markelle and what he brings to the team. We'll see. But hopefully he makes it somewhere that he can impact the game and make the turnaround in the league... At least.

Seriously, Fultz is far, far more likely to resign than G-Harris (or Okeke). I think there is a half chance he returns to Orlando.

What job do we sign him for?

All kidding aside, he's not playable if he can't even shoot FTs...maybe his condition improves, but...time's up. Sorry. All the best.
