With this front office I think they are decent drafters in the 1st round but I have no faith in them when it comes to other parts of team building.

I’d like Hartenstein, but (just like Monk) he’s probably not worth more than what his existing team can pay…mediocre career as a backup until one great season in a limited but perfect role. He’s solid but not special, imo. I would not be disappointed in Weltman NOT overpaying for Hartenstein or Monk…

I’m predicting KCP is this year’s Bruce Brown…stupid ‘intentional’ overpay for a decent player, with no long term commitment (for more flexibility for future non-moves. )…more 4-D scheming while actually doing nothing to significantly improve the team or address gaping holes in roster construction…keep Ingles, maybe overpay Goga (retain ‘valuable asset’) just to further torture fanbase…

I don’t think it’s too much to ask…
Trade Cole & Houstan and 2 frps (one from DEN) for Simons & Robert Williams
Sign a vet PG like Kris Dunn and preserve AB’s opportunity for major PG mins (but have a reliable backup plan)

Or…even better
Trade Cole to NYK for Mitchell Robinson for fantastic depth and bigger defensive muscle at C
Trade 2 frps for Simons (include Houstan or Ingles if POR wants). ($25m incoming)
Sign Tyus Anthony $15 x 3yrs to once again be the best backup PG in the NBA

At this point I'm thinking the magic re-up Fultz and Harris.

They’ll Resign Fultz and Harris.

Predict: To squash it on role players.
Hope: To bring in a superstar guard.

They’ll sign Pope for way too much money and waste more on another Aminu. Very good chance they re-sign Fultz. Maybe Harris too. Wish they’d pass on both but we all know it’s not happening.

Resign all of our players, add a 3rd string pg, an old aging vet, and Weltman speaking about his “organic” team building bs.

What I’m hoping for is adding at least two of klay/ihart/kcp/Tyus with our cap room or go all out for a star pg like Trae.

Sign KCP + Melton+ GOGA then call it a day
