You can turn these into some serious earnings. Good for him, I hope to see him get some burn.

He can hit 3s and maybe run our sorry excuse for an offense

He’ll practice with the team and play in 1-2 preseason games. Thats the most we’ll hear out of him.

Should we start a "Trade Anthony NOW" thread?
...
At as serious level, McClung is proven that he can play offense to an NBA level of excellence; and he MUST prove his new defensive skills to go T-way in the NBA. Here's hoping, as I love his game on offense. I think he can be a GREAT replacement of Anthony after he move on to NYC. For Example.

What's odd, is that on offense, this is probably true.
(my auto correct wanted me to say this was "proverbial true". Is it written in the stones ??!?!?!?)

Joseph is prob the better PG, but the fact it's even a question is hilarious.

The NBA has paid him $106,352 over his whole NBA career. As a contrast, Curry made 51M on 2421 minutes played in 2023/24; or 21065.67 a minute.
Basically Curry made last year per minute played what Mclung has made per season played.
I guess McClung is about 1M in total basketball income thoough. Not bad work if you can find it.
In all seriousness: the kid can ball on offense. If he can play even "bad" NBA defense, he will get a roster slot somewhere.

been worse players on an NBA roster. how long was Bruno Caboclo on rosters? Keljin Blevins, CJ elleby, Nik Stauskas, Killian Hayes is pretty bad.
a lot of players given more run depending on where they were drafted, maybe who their agent is.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't a two-way much better than an Exhibit 10?
This guy has paid his dues. Pay the man.

A two-way contract is a half-rookie NBA-level of pay. Or $578,577 if the contract is at it max.
An Exhibit 10 is effectively a $75,000 bonus added to a G-league deal. Or about 100k in total.
So, yeh its better By about 6X.

Great signing. Heard he’s as good as Simons.

I think an Exhibition 10 is a deal for camp invite and that he can earn the two way contract. Even though I cannot see him playing (too many players at his position), I do hope he gets the two-way contract.

It is a camp bonus if the player signs with the team's G-league - it must be the Osceola Magic - and plays a set number of games there. For example, if McClung signs with another NBA team, the Orlando Magic do not pay an Osceola Magic bonus payment, at all. And McClung would be financially stupid to sign with another G-league team, as then, no Exhibition 10 bonus.
In conclusion, the Exhibition 10 is really an Osceola contract bump. More than the other camp invites will get, but less than a two-way contract.
When you said, "
I do hope he gets the two-way contract", the Magic could conceptually sign another camp invite to the two-way and have McClung on an Osceola deal on an Exhibition 10.
These Exhibition 10 deals are really about getting a pay bump to the better G-league players. Two-way players will spend a lot more time on the Orlando bench than the Osceola bench.
