Cade Cunningham will miss his first game of the season tonight with a hip injury.

He is averaging 23.5 PPG, 7.2 RPG and 8.9 APG.

There's certainly some elements to it.

First game off a road trip is always difficult, especially so when you ended the trip with a big emotional win.

Pistons missing their best player.

Natural reaction would be relax and play down and not up.

But the Magic have also been so good at home. I feel good that the energy will be there when it needs to be.

These games never let up, do they? I'm still enjoying the last one.

Still a Cade Fan but he is really a tricky player to build around. Especially as the lead ballhandler & scorer. The stats are nice & his defense is better but his TO still killing them (almost 5 per game :o ) & his efficiency is still below leaque average + low FTr.

I’m expecting Denver KCP to show up in 5 to 6 weeks. Needs to get past the 1st month and half of his new baby.

Obviously the Pistons are better than they were last season, but we took care of business against these kinds of teams at home last year so I think we will be fine tonight, especially with Cade out.

If the baby has had anything to do with it and his baby and baby mama are now both doing fine, it seems like we should see Denver KCP show up tonight.

Yea there veterans scare me in this game... Beasley, tobias, fontechioo & of course hardaway jr could have big games. The advantage is the magic play so good at home. It's the same thing every game. Limit the mistakes, hit open shoots and play stifling defense and you win.

They've got a lot of good players. Fontecchio is a Magic killer. They have good size with Duren and Beef Stew. Beasley and Tobias are both capable of having 20 pt games. Ivey might want to make a statement with Cade being out.

I don't think they've gotten blown out more than once or twice so they're dangerous. Beasley has the most threes in the league over the last 3-4 games or something. Lot of vets that can shoot. Have to run them off the line. Put Duren in a lot of actions, hope our bench wears them down. Doing those things will make it very uncomfortable for 'em.

Playing teams without their best player is always a little tricky. So, who on this Piston team about to have a career night?

Cade is probably the only player in their draft class that I may or may not prefer over Franz. lol
Seriously though, I wanna see Cade in a better team and org first.

Magic probably lose because I used all my sports team luck with UF's insane win over #9 Ole Miss as 2 TD underdogs.
