I don’t think we’ve talked about this - but since we’ve got some key pieces for building a contender in Paolo, Franz and Suggs (*cough* and Black *cough*), plus a deep squad of quality role players and some developing pieces - what’s everyone thinking about timelines towards the finals?

When do we think all the timelines of our guys lineup just right to make a real run? When do we think that will be? Does it happen in steps, or one sudden jump?

Before Paolo’s next contract ends.

Good question, here is my take. It's not going to be linear but this is what I think expectations should be.

'25 (current season) - last year of the rebuild
'26 - final 8
'27 - final 4
'28 - finals

Before 2030!!!

I give us around 25% chance per season to make the Finals. So, within the next 4 seasons, we should make it at least once.

When Paolo is 25 and Franz/Suggs are 26 we are going to be tuff stuff

I think it depends on when our FO finally makes a trade to get the right final piece around our core group as they round out.

2027 Finals, we'll be there.

I think sometime within the next 3 seasons is when the team will make a run to the Finals.

But man, with the defense the team is able to play right now, they’re able to make it a game against teams which are much more offensively potent. If the team is healthy and we ever see 50P and LaBlonde going on the same night then there’s no stopping them.
