Imagine how deadly they would be if they played more efficient on offense, less unnecessary quick threes, more post ups.

More post ups is the last thing you want if the goal is to make the offense more efficient. They are very inefficient unless you have someone elite at them which we don't.

I don't think we have ever had a reputation as a bruiser in the NBA. I am enjoying it.

Best defense in franchise history? Relative Defensive Rating says yes.

Very exciting...I want to reel off some wins against better teams (opportunities coming up fast) but I'm feeling like, if the 3's keep falling the way we hoped they would this summer - we are not that far from contending. One move to shore up the second unit and I think it's not unreasonable. Defense is demoralizing...especially when it's followed by raining 3's down and blowing open games when the opposition is just tired and frustrated after 3 quarters of physical and mental abuse.

Good! For 12 seasons other teams rolled in our arena and had ridiculous career highs against us. At least this team is making the opposing team uncomfortable.

We did during the Dwight era.

I think Paolo and Franz are both dangerous post up players. Put them on the elbow posted up , once they turn and face the defense they are both threats at driving to the rim and with the addition of Franz’s Dirk step back is deadly.

Does Zach Lowe have a new employer yet? I could really use a regular Lowe Post podcast in my life.

I enjoy Orlando’s defense significantly more than the offense.

I’m happy when the offense looks average because the defense is just that good.

Just Dwight...his elbows were a threat to the other 9 guys and probably the refs on the floor.

The present team is top to bottom (nearly) no fun to play against.

Love Goga but when he has the confidence to taunt you directly in your face it’s over! Magic have just dominated you.

Three-four games ago, Black had a quote that was something like, "We want teams to remember they played us".

AB needs to hit the gym HARD this Summer lol, he’s still young when/if he grows into that frame he’ll be making people remember playing him a lot more

Yea definitely. Defenses in general are much better today because they have much harder tasks.

Ummm what? Rashard and Hedo if I remember just funneled everything to Dwight.

The only defensive bruising reputation that I remember was our C spot ( Dwight/ Gortat/ Battie ) and Pietrus.

That’s just what KG said and put ran with it. But Dwight was a beast.

He also talked about wanting teams to break. The mentality is strong.
