No rest advantage for either team as both are on the 2nd night of a back-to-back with Memphis losing last night in Indiana.

Thank you for the early game thread Knightro. Go Magic. Be nice to get back to back wins, especially at home. The crowd needs it.

We still need Cole + Black + literally anyone else to go out there and score 10+ points. Missing Suggs + Mo just strains out offense too much unless we want to find out if Franz + Paulo can go 25 / 30+ each here respectively. (They can, but that means the supporting cast might be bad.)

Serious question. Why is Gary Harris still getting minutes? He contributes nothing and hasn't scored in 70 plus minutes. Literally just doing cardio out there.

He's ramping up for the playoffs. He's probably playing at 20% right now. I guess they think Harris at 100% is better than what Jett or Caleb could give.
I think jf Harris was 100% it would be a hard decision on who goes to the bench when Suggs comes back. One of Cole, Harris, or Black will be out of the rotation.

Tonight is my last preseason purchase ticket to Magic home game for the season. Let’s get a win to send me out on an upswing!

I'm feeling confident about this game. I think we are BACK and going to win.

Who is the alternative?
Mosley trusts Gary defensively (90th percentile defensive EPM) in ways he simply doesn't (and shouldn't) trust Jett right now (7th percentile defensive EPM).
And it's not like Jett has been lighting it up as a shooter to justify more minutes either. Gary has slumped all year and is still shooting better from the 3PT line on the season than Jett is.

You can claim that if we win this one. Memphis is no joke. I think we’re going to get shot out of the gym but would love to see our defense take it up a notch and prove me wrong.

Need to win but not a must win. We must beat Golden State if we lose this one though.

We need to keep rebounding equal.

A smaller Hawks team was able to get so many offensive rebounds from us.
Im not feeling a 7'4 C and a shotblocking 6'11 PF waiting for the inevitable Paolo and Franz drives...

I'm hoping for one Ja vs Isaac at the rim moment.
I also seem to recall JJJ just killing us in the past - too big and strong

When was the last time we beat Memphis... It has felt like so long ago (I know we beat them in the preseason a few season back). I see a smack down incoming unfortunately. Only way magic can win this is if they magically summon some shooting somehow. And get back to elite defense. I don't expect a win unfortunately. Well see

Cole Anthony hit a buzzer beater. I was upset because we were tanking. We could've ended up with Cade and Franz in that draft

As a fan the JI experience is so exhausting. Can't imagine it would be easy for the players either. Can't wait until he is gone. Funny thing is the FO think the fans will actually believe its just "illness"
