If this is season ending, I assume we call in the tank, right? Do we risk Franz or Paolo getting reinjuried for a play-in game?

I knew that wasn't no damn quad, he was limping off the floor barely walking

hope Suggs recovers :(

only 5 "healthy" games of Suggs-Paolo-Wagner this year.. and two of those Franz left at half.

You don't tank when your cap is like the 11th pick.

Another mid 10s lottery pick doesn't help this team.

I guess tank isn't the right word. I am just worried about Franz or Paolo getting hurt for nothing.

This borders on medical negligence for me. Just watching on TV, its been apparent ALL SEASON hes limping on that leg, and often can be seen with a blood spot appearing under the white knee pad on his left leg. To get this far into the process and only now uncover this is nothing but incompetence. Fire the entire medical/conditioning team ffs.

this is not the right thread, but orlando can easily go to 10th place in the draft, right now portland are there and they have only one more defeat 33 vs 32.

When will we get to the bottom of our medical & training staff? Where's the media?

We're reaching Blazers 2005-2015 levels of incompetence in that area

If an early shutdown of Paolo & Franz means they can get an extended offseason to work on their jump shots, sign me up

Wishing Suggs a full and healthy recovery. He's a great guy and a fierce competitor. Bummer for him to miss more time. Can't wait for him to be back healthy

If so, this is awful news. Might be without him until 2026.

Never heard of this kind of knee injury before.

I am not surprised. I thought he was going to be out for the season when he was injured in the playoffs. So, I am glad that he will get time to actually heal properly.

I asked grok

Recovery Outcomes: General Trends
Recovery from trochlea injuries in athletes, including NBA players, varies based on injury severity and treatment. A key study, "Return to Play Among Elite Basketball Players After Osteochondral Allograft Transplantation of Full-Thickness Cartilage Lesions" (Return to Play Study), provides insight into severe cases. This study reviewed 11 elite basketball players (4 professional, 7 collegiate) with 14 treated lesions, including 5 in the trochlea, who underwent osteochondral allograft transplantation (OCA). Key findings include:
- Return to Play Rate: 80% of players returned to their previous level of competition.
- Recovery Time: Median time to return was 14 months, with a range of 6-26 months.
- Performance: Among those with available statistics, there was no significant reduction in performance post-recovery, suggesting effective rehabilitation.

Maybe he isn’t getting surgery and it isn’t that bad of a case?

What a season this has been... Why did it take this long to figure out he had this injury? Man I just don't know with this organization, they just don't seem serious about anything.
