21 games left in the season.

We've regressed in the w/l column from last season. Blame can be placed on everything from the fo to 3 point shooting to injuries.

Suggs is likely done for the season now.

We've been historically terrible with the 3 point shooting.

We've lost a lot in the past couple of months.

There won't be any significant changes to the roster for this season.

Tanking isn't really an option as we won't really change our draft chances at this point.

This is the perfect time to experiment with lineups. It's not like any lineup changes will have us scoring less because it's really not possible and what we're doing isn't working.

So any takes on lineups to try or any players we should have play more minutes or players to put in different roles to bolster trade value etc?

At this point I’d just send Mclung and Queen out there to start in our backcourt. I’m sick of AB, Cole and KCP providing no help. I’m sick of Wendell Carter too. Let some of the G league guys play. I’m honestly sick of watching Paolo “The Turnover” Banchero too. Now the defense isn’t even good. Maybe there’s a gem with the minor league guys.

Losses

It is going to be rough. After these next 2 home games, Magic goes on the road and it is almost all against above 50% winning teams. We probably going for the lottery as of now if we fumbled in the play in, which is the most likely position

Waive Gary. Convert Queen to an NBA contract and put him in the rotation.
Waive Cory and either sign a shot-blocking center or a point guard who can distribute and/or shoot. **** it, even Isaiah Thomas.
Weltman can make moves even if they’re not trades.

Mosley starts:
Goga-Paolo-Franz-Tristan-Black

Queen, Caleb, and Mac get rotation minute looks.

If you get blow back from Cole, KCP, Wendell, or Isaac, sit them with a fake injury for a few games.

Mosley has to fight for his job because Weltman won’t fall on the sword first.

I want the players to take some more accountability for this mess especially Paolo and Franz. Look Weltman and Mosley have culpability in this but fans are directing too much anger their way. players need to look in the mirror. I am tired of the players whining in press conferences after losses. Franz and Paolo both need to learn this league is not easy **** is going to be hard and nothing is given to you. Franz already has a max contract I am assuming Paolo wants one. They both have regressed or stayed the same at best. The injuries are a factor I get it but they are the ones making the serious money they have to take responsibility. Could life be more easy if we have more shooting yes but we don’t. Franz shooting isn’t improving and Paolo is becoming a bad decision machine (bad shots and turnovers).

I think they are both big part of our future but with their antics here of late they are not exhibiting true leadership required of max players.

pretty much this but there's no way this FO waives Gary they'll just have Mose DNP him and not pick up his option next year.

I'd also add in strategic rest days for Paolo/Franz or just start to taper their minutes, last thing we need is another injury to one of them.

Also, over them babying Isaac when he's been useless this year and I hope they have a different plan for next year. We can't be paying 15M for a player who provides the bare minimum and it's because we have to treat him with bubble wrap. Who knows maybe he is packaged this summer for something that brings more to this team

Orlando's opponents are 48% in the final now 20. I will call Orlando a 500 team, meaning that sums to 11 wins and 9 losses. And another Win for Homerism, and the 12-8 record leads to a 41-41 result. And the 7-seed.

Of course Paolo and Franz have some accountability in this but if you look at everyone’s body of work, Weltman has had almost a damn decade to stop this offense from trending to where it’s at despite signs it’s only going to get worse which in fact it has so my energy is mostly there. He has stand pat the last two deadlines and did the bare ass minimum this past off season.

There’s really only 4 guys I’d keep on the squad next year. The first 3 are obvious, after that, Mo Wagner. Goga doesn’t hurt the team so we can keep him too I guess. All the guards not named Suggs needs to be replaced.

I expect our season is done, even as a playin team. The guys look gassed and I think a lot of it has to do with having to play so hard on defense just to stay afloat in games. The imbalance is laughable. I think the guys are done and I don’t blame them TBH.
People are getting injured and it’s not worth it at this point until the FO shows some level of competence when it comes to building the right team around our stars. After PB, Franz, and Suggs everyone else should be available to try and improve the team this offseason. They better stop effing around.

I want to see what this team looks like with an actual PG. Cut Cole out of the rotation. Give Mac a chance or just play Corey Joseph. We need some halfcourt playmaking from ANYONE.

This plus remain healthy so that the other players can be traded this summer. Mo wasn’t mentioned but we need to keep him and his 64.9 TS%.
