The winner of the April 15 Magic home game will earn the #7-seed in the Eastern Conference and face the #2-seed Boston Celtics in the First Round of the 2025 NBA Playoffs.
The loser of the April 15 game will host the winner of the #9-seed vs. #10-seed game on Friday, April 18 (time TBD, TNT). The winner of that game will earn the #8-seed in the Eastern Conference and face the #1-seed Cleveland Cavaliers in the First Round of the 2025 NBA Playoffs, while the losing team will be eliminated.

Soooo uhhhh... do we want to be buried by the Celts 3point barrage or by DONs heroics with Mobleys dominance inside?

Based on last night’s lineups, I’d say Celts aren’t too scared of seeing ORL

Without Suggs, both teams have the guard advantage.
Without Moe, I think our frontcourt matches up better with the Celts.

This is our 8th division title in 36 seasons. Don’t take those for granted.
Give me Boston. Brown is hurt and I don’t think a week off will fix that. Tatum’s ankle is still iffy. Jrue is aging. Porzingis could get injured at any moment.
That and Paolo & Franz v. Tatum & Brown is what we want to see for our stars to grow.

I'm with Adam. Proud of the division title and I'd prefer the Celtics.

Do we quit from here in terms of trying to win? Rest. If we win we win? Or go for a 41-41 season?

And-1
If the Magic get Boston in the playoffs, the computers have the Magic winning as a 7-over-2 at 8%. That is far from zero.
In conclusion: I would rather the Magic be the 7 against Boston than the 8 against Cleveland. For two reasons.
1) less rest given yet one more game would be needed to be played to be 8, get Cleveland.
2) Winning against Boston will get the winner of 3-6 (New York or Detroit) vs. winning against Cleveland to get the 4-v-5 winner (Indiana or Milwaukee). I think the 3-6 will be easier in round-2 than the 4-5.

Nice. Frustrating season overall but hey its something. Would love to see this team surprise in the playoffs. I think at least Suggs is needed for such a surprise, but still there is an outside chance.

I know its not the outcome we wanted and expectations were to finish higher seed. However, for a season where our 3 best players have missed a combined 153 games and players together only 90 minutes, it could have been much much worse.

The Celtic fans in kia center will be a nightmare (kind of why I prefer the cavs, they had barely any fans in kia last playoffs). But like some have said we will be going up against the defending champs and playing the counter parts of brown & Tatum . Plus all the games should be on nation TV ( if we play the cavs we will get a couple of NBA tv games). So bring on the celts I guess.

Which Cs? Celtics or Cavaliers?
Jk…I rather face Boston too. I went to use this round for gained experience. The team will benefit learning facing the Celts since we already faced Cleveland last year.

Don't forget the Magic needs to win a play-in game first. Here's hoping that the Bulls overtake the Hawks for #8.

If we win the 7th seed in the playin, I want us to play the Celtics. I have no delusions about us winning this series, I simply want our boys to play a different team and for Paolo and Franz to step up during the playoffs. The only thing that is going to suck if we play the Celtics is home games might seem like away games because of all the Boston fans in Orlando.
Oh, and I want Weltman to see what a team full of shooters look like and how easy life is if you’re surrounded by shooters.

Yeah.. I think the Cs will be better for us long term.
IT will show our FO and players how important the 3pt shot is and plus, Suggs and AB can learn from White and Holiday what it means to be defensive PGs. Those guys games are at their peak and declining, time for Suggs and AB to take their place soon.

This team is shameless. Fighting to not have a losing season and raising banners at the same time.

What is Suggs supposed to learn from the bench?

Defensive Masterclass while being healthy - To know how to do it without being too reckless.
Heartache -To know playing in the POs only if you werent injured.
Baldness - To know you can let it go like White

"Don't take southeast division banners for granted," guys
