THAT SAID... I very likely would have won the bet had Cole not gotten injured, missed most of the games in March and was then relegated to a low minute backup role upon his return.
From the time Suggs got hurt on January 3 to when Cole got hurt on March 10 (27 games, so not a small sample size), Cole was starting and averaging 26.8 MPG. Once he finally came back from the injury, his role was drastically reduced down to less than 15 MPG all off the bench.
