Gonna make this thread cuz the old one got locked.
Soooo.. any other basketball purist watched G4?
OKC won it with only 3(???) Made 3pters.
They won it with their superstar going into the paint and getting fouled.
They won it by playing swiping hacking defense.
Sounds familiar huh?

Well Indy was threatening to run away and put stranglehold on this series in the 3rd quarter but they made some really dumb mistakes, turnovers, and Caruso kept OKC close. He was the real hero for OKC. SGA hit big shots late, specially that 3, but 4th quarter it was kinda frustrating how SGA just blatantly pushes off with his forearm over and over and thats supposed to be an acceptable play from the refs…. Indy’s is not a team that has strong iso players and that affected them late. Seemed like they kinda lost their composure afterwards thinking they were running away with it. They allowed OKC to hang around late 3rd and paid the price, if they don’t win this championship they will linger on about not closing out that 3rd quarter…

Yeah SGA is the encyclopedia model of foul-merchant.
IND is not innocent either though because they are always nugging him and its not called all the time

Intense perimeter defense by OKC however that was absolutely awful play by Hali, Nembhard, and Mathurin. Indy will regret last 5 mins of 3rd quarter game 4…

It's funny. Stat line of Chet sucked. But if you watched game, guy impacted every second he was out there.
Great game (again ) by J Will.
Series would already be over if OKC's coach didn't "adjust" before game 1 and removed I Hart from starting lineup for no reason. His "adjustment" gave Pacers chance.

Whats with this buzz im hearing.... our rivals seem to be confident they are getting KD?
When i read their board i also read that if Bane got 4picks from us, Herro should get 5 because he is better than Bane. Really????

So, who is the best backcourt in the East now?
Have to say CLE on paper...but I could see Bane and Suggs neutralizing them with their superior physicality. Mitchell, Garland, Jerome are more talented, but can be beat up.
IND...Haliburton, Nembhard, Mathurin...same. I give IND the nod, but not scared
DET...Cade has become a real star PG and he's big. They'll pay to keep Beasley and we'll see what Ivey brings...much better offensively than ORL, but I still think we can somewhat beat them up.
BOS...don't know who they'll be next year, but White, Jrue, Pritchard are really good on both ends.
NYK...Brunson, Bridges, Hart...they ARE better but Brunson is the engine and Suggs can smesh him to a degree other defenders can't
PHI...Maxey, McCain...tons of offensive talent, but even more easily brutalized than CLE (Mitchell IS tough)...memories of Dame/CJ
CHI, ATL have some talent, but I don't think they are in the discussion...Trae/Daniels is certainly a complementary match.
PHI, CHA, TOR, WAS all have a good guard and a high pick, so we'll see...

I love you Sky, but 99% of trades happen after season ends

We can talk about this in November or at least in a month.
btw nobody "fears" Pacers but only teams that actually beat them were former champions and probably -new champions. Nobody else.
Maybe it's time to take them serious?

Pacers are going to have a difficult time forcing a Game 7. Haliburton is obviously injured for at least the past few games. Pacers crowd in Game 6 is going to have to carry them again.
It’s rough for them because there’s a strong argument that they blew 2 games they should’ve won.

Wait...are you suggesting this isn't a constructive use of our time?
as if it ever is
