I survived to another season of basketball. Really optimistic this year, really looking forward to this game.

Heat already having a lot of injuries doesn’t bode well for them this season.

This is I think Miami’s 7th visit to Puerto Rico. Our first. Will be interesting to see how outnumbered in the stands we’ll be.

I expect to see Robinson, Cain, and the exhibit 10 guys to play a lot.

I’ll be curious to see how much our 3 EuroBasket guys play.

We’ve got a full 5 days off before we play in Philly, so I expect a lot of spread out minutes and lineup experimentation.

Just curious, how are local Central Florida folks watching games this year? I’ve historically watched through Spectrum but dropped them for YTTV. I’m thinking that adding a FDS account is my only option.

I thought Miami would be a playoff team before Herro got injured. I still think theyll be decent.

Dont know if thatll be in evidence tonight. Too early.

East is just painfully mediocre without serious contender. Probably worst East has been since 2002 and Lebron era.
Among Raptors, Hawks, whatever is left from Celtics, Bulls, Heat, leftovers of Pacers, crippled 76ers, painfully bad constructed Bucks, very overrated Pistons, somebody will end up with home court advantage by accident. But hopefully some among them are smart enough to throw white tovel on a season early on.

On top of that Hornets, Nets, Wizards are bound to suck. East vs West record will be hilarious. Probably biggest margin of wooping in history of a league.

Nets have legit chance at setting worst record ever. That team is gutted and filled with kids that aren't even that talented.

Good.

I don't care how easy the path might potentially be. Just win.

Growing up in Orlando made me like 99% American and only 1% Puerto Rican with the Spanglish, no Latino accent, and everything else  .. But Jonathan Isaac just pulled out the Puerto Rican colloquial spanish word of “bus” when he said “guagua” (sounding like /wawa/) instead of any generic Spanish word for bus. I don’t know how he knew it! Bonus points though

Let’s see what Bane offers us. I feel like a lot of us are wary given KCP’s production but I am really hoping Bane is the franchise’s next Rashard signing.

FDS might be my only option. I used it last year and renewed it this morning.

I think I saw this game will be on NBATV, so I don’t know if that will blackout the game on FDS. I’ll go to YouTube TV if I have to though.

I won’t miss my 4 out of 5 starters playing 8 minutes each half. And the first ever looks at Bane, Jase, Tyus and the new Magic jersey!
Oh, and the PR venue might make it a fun game with longer minutes for the starters or the benches going hard against each other.

Aren´t all the games online NBA tv?

PG: Egor Dëmin / Nolan Traoré / Ben Saraf
SG: Cam Thomas / Kobe Bufkin / Drake Powell
SF: Terance Mann / Ziaire Williams / Dariq Whitehead
PF: Michael Porter Jr. / Haywood Highsmith / Noah Clowney
C: Nic Claxton / Day’Ron Sharpe / Danny Wolf

Here is what a LLM thinks:
Worst record (82-game season): 1972–73 76ers, 9–73.
Worst winning percentage: 2011–12 Bobcats, 7–59 in a 66-game season (.106).
How the projected 2025–26 Nets compare
Top options
– 1972–73 76ers: Fred Carter led with about 20 ppg; no All-Stars in their prime.
– 2011–12 Bobcats: Gerald Henderson and Corey Maggette averaged roughly 15 ppg, with rookie Kemba Walker behind them.
– Nets: Cam Thomas is a stronger lead scorer than either team had, and Michael Porter Jr. provides elite spacing.
Rim protection and defence
– 76ers: soft interior and one of the worst point differentials in NBA history.
– Bobcats: league-worst defence and major negative margin.
– Nets: Nic Claxton, Haywood Highsmith, and Terance Mann give credible rim and perimeter coverage.
Creation and spacing
– Past teams: lacked any consistent three-level creators or floor spacing.
– Nets: Thomas’s isolation scoring, Porter’s shooting gravity, and Mann’s secondary playmaking should prevent droughts.
Depth and age curve
– 76ers: ageing veterans mixed with fringe rotation players.
– Bobcats: young but raw roster with minimal two-way value.
– Nets: deeper and more balanced, with several playable wings and developmental guards.

Bottom line
Both the 1972–73 76ers and 2011–12 Bobcats had far less top-end talent, shooting, and defensive structure than the projected 2025–26 Nets. Barring major injuries, Brooklyn’s group would be well clear of any “worst team ever” comparison.

ChatGPT is predicting 24-27 wins for the Nets. For what it's worth.

Intersting to hear coach saying that Black is getting reps at PF. Will be interesting to see who the on-court five are that leads to him playing some 4.
