What a shocker....

``What (the referees) did after the shot was made, they huddled as a crew and they thought the basket was not good. They proceeded to the table and informed the P.A. announcer that the basket was not good and that a review would take place. They reviewed it and concluded after watching the videos that the basket was not good,

lol

I wonder what Paul Porter was threatened with to back this story.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

Typical predictable NBA response. The refs messed up? Never ever according to the NBA.

Once the refs made the call, it wasn't going to change the outcome of the game whatever the NBA said. They just use all these instances when it's the first time it happens in the league as a chance to rub the Magic's nose it in. (i.e., Shaq being able to leave in free agency because it was the only year in at least 20 when there was no chance for the team the player was leaving to match or get some kind of compensation. Grant Hill is out for an entire year and they can't get an injury exception for him. Dee Brown becomes the first player suspended by the NBA for walking onto the court during an altercation -- it was during the playoffs and Dee wasn't anywhere near the altercation. And my very favorite, the first year the NBA makes the first round of the playoffs a best-of-seven, the Magic take a 3-1 lead against Detroit -- and then go on to lose.)

Yes, the NBA is full of them. They just sit in their offices and laugh, saying, "HA! HA! HA! We got them again. And the fans down there justs keep sending us more money.'' Sometimes, you wish that Magic ownership had a little Mark Cuban in them because he at least gets someone's attention.

I want to know what Paul Potter has to say about that. And if he knew they waved it off why didn't he tell everyone?

But in all seriousness, I think it is a bunch of BULL$HIT.

Paul Potter works for an NBA team, he will fall in line with whatever the NBA wants, period.

Questionable call but wow - It was very close. No way you can conclude conspiracy there.

According to Porter, he was not informed of the call...

This was in the print version of the Sentinel, sorry for no link.

Not to say that one doesn't exist.

Shocker.

There's the think to what RR is most likely referencing. Other interesting tidbits in there too, like the Magic disagreeing with the ruling.

Typical NBA hack job in avoiding accountability.

I don't like blown calls like everyone else, but, the NBA should at least acknowledge when something is amiss. The league will never shake itself from the wresting mentality that it continues to hold onto.

Officiating IS a primary reason why the NBA will always be a second tier sport.

Hockey has brawls, and the NBA has make up calls.

In popularity, yes. In credibility, no.

And I'm glad to see that Paul Porter didn't give into fear of not going along with the league... probably means he's announced his last game though considering the NBA's state of mind.
