"I don't know if we would do anything [trade] -- unless it makes sense,"
No **** Otis, you say this every year. And you make crap deals all the time so stop blowing smoke up our a$$es. How about you stop contradicting yourself, by saying this and then trading ariza for odds and ends. Sorry just hasd to vent after that loss last night.

Apparently JJ still has value around the league!!! I think its time for JJ to start getting some significant mins. We need a shake up. Who cares if he's if he doesn't play good enough d. No one else does. Plus he was hustling last night. He has a killer stroke and he doesn't hesitate when he shoots. And we get to showcase his skills.

sorry i shoulda been more clear. Play the man regardless and worst case scenario we are just showcasing him to other teams. Last night in the last couple minutes of the 4th. I was having flashbacks of his college years, especially with all those pump fakes. I'm not saying start him every game. Just play him 24 mins. Hell give him bogans mins.

We don't need offense, we need defense.

Trade him.

JJ would easily be packaged by GM Smith into any trade that upgrades the PF slot. Full stop.

Yes we need defense but being that our current roster is awful at defending, would you agree that 5-10 more points a game would have won us maybe 4-5 more games so far this year?

Well, just as easily, I'd agree that 5-10 fewer points a game from the other team would have won us 4-5 more games so far this year. Any trade idea should involve us giving up something we have in excess (scoring) to acquire something we lack (defense). We are the top-scoring team in the East. Clearly, we can spare a rarely used SG to pick up a solid backup defender.

Plus, maybe getting burned on national TV a couple times would help to improve his concentration defense...
If nothing else JJ is a competitor.

nothing will happen. Battie will be back next year, and Otis is more than likely assuming that Fran will come over at some point. Weve had logjams at sg and sf, so he probably wants to avoid one at the pf. If he picks up another big without getting rid of one we would have 6 or 7 bigs next year.
