JJ Demands Trade?

Post#1 » by Swish14 » Thu Jan 10, 2008 10:38 pm

My dad was just telling me that he heard on ESPN radio today that Redick has officially demanded a trade. I came over here to see what you guys were saying about it and I was surprised there wasn't a thread on this. Anyone else here this? Where are some destinations for JJ?

JJ sucks.

I like JJ, but I don't think he is in a position to "demand" anything - I highly doubt that is an accurate story.

If it is accurate it hurts his value to us.

That being said...he should have no value to begin with.

im sure Denver wants him with Atkins out for the year. Atkins didnt play defense either so its a great fill. :D

jr smith (expiring) and a few 2nd rounders. George Karl would do it!

Sorry Orlando, but I'm taking this game elsewhere!

Perhaps he was just "commenting" on his lack of playing time here?

I said it from draft day, this kid was the wrong pick, he will never be able to move laterally fast enough to stay on front of anybody in the NBA. He sucks!!! Good riddance.....

I've been reading that stuff too but my dad said that during the broadcast, they said that Redick has officially demanded a trade. Then they went on to rip him about leaving when he could just shut his mouth and win a ring because Dwight will lead us to a championship in the next couple years. Then they basically talked about how he was girly.

You know what? With that attitude why don't they just sit him at the end of the bench and not play him....THAT will show him!

Actually, my bad guys. My dad heard it on Scott Ferrell's show on Sirius radio. I guess that's why they could bash him so much. haha

I'm not surprised by this one bit. In the beginning of last year, I had the chance to interview JJ Redick and he said he wasn't happy here. He's always pretty open with the media so if he wanted out, I can't see him being hush hush about it. Also, when he told me that last year, I asked Otis what he thought and he basically said he's lucky to be on the team and that this is something most rookies go through.

Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

JJ has no standing in this league to demand a trade.... and it's not like Otis cares, since he's trying to trade him to some unlucky team as we speak.
