Hoopsworld Rumors: Arroyo and Redick for Dixon and Graham

Post#1 » by drsd » Sun Jan 13, 2008 10:36 pm

This story is all speculation, but an outside source sees a simple path for the Magic to get a guy many here are fond of in Joey Graham. Arroyo and Redick for Mickael Pietrus is also suggested.

The Magic would be smart to cash out Carlos and JJ and get a front court player and a draft pick, it would be a shame to waste this year on a first round walk by Detroit or Boston.

I don't want Dixon but we have too many guards and should get rid of one at least

Graham is another SG-SF combo who can't even crack the rotation in Toronto. Dixon is not a pure PG. I, personally, don't like any of them.
To make a trade just for the sake of it is a wrong way to go, and I doubt Otis would do it.

Dixon is the same player as Dooling.

They both are shoot first Gaurds.

Graham I think would help, defensively.

But I'd be skeptical to get rid of arroyo.

After reading the article it's just saying some ideas. But if they say Keyon Dooling is popular on the trade market. WTF we waiting for? I hope the part that says SVG fav player is false. I absolutely want him out of here.

this trade would basically be a graham for redick swap. seeing that juan dixon is also a free agent this summer. but this trade doesn't even work anyway.

And Besides, Otis isn't that dumb. He needs to get good value back if he's trading Arroyo. Arroyo puts butts in seats.

To me, there is no reason for this trade. It is nothing but making a trade for the sake of making a trade. Talking about stuff like that is a business for HoopsWorld. Making deals like this is not good business for a GM.

arroyo and jj for dixon and graham...please dont do this...we are better off with arroyo and dooling.. dixon cant crack 1.5 assist a season, and graham i guess is another combo player that cant shot, so we get another sf that cant do anything...

The Raptors are supposedly going to get TJ Ford back soon, that's a huge plus for the Raptors, but even Bryan Colangelo has admitted that he doesn't have enough minutes for Juan Dixon and Joey Graham, and neither are long term for the Raptors. Both players make tremendous sense for Orlando and the Magic have some things that might be of value to Toronto

That's his twin brother, Stephen Graham. He's already played for Cleveland, Portland, Chicago, Houston, and now Indiana.

Raps fan here
Interesting. I've always been a Joey fan even if lots of people in Toronto haven't been. He came in towards the last half of the year last year, and got solid minutes, and was a very solid player for us. He developed a consistent perimeter jumper, shooting 50% from the floor last year, hustles, gets alot of garbage boards and buckets, because he's got a big strong body, and attacks the net, and was just a guy that I thought was an solid 3rd option on the floor. You guys would be getting a good player in Joey G. But Dixon I hate and would LOVE nothing more than for you guys to have him. Good character guy though, Dixon, as is Joey. In terms of for us, I've always liked Arroyo's game. Do we need him? I'm not sure. We do if TJ's injured. And I guess TJ's always going to be an injury risk, and if one of TJ or Jose go down, we have no backup point guard, which is costing us right now. But ya, you guys would be getting a solid hardworking player in Joey G if the trade goes through. I would he happy for Joey because I think he deserves playing time, and hopefully he would get it with you guys.
