two trades to make us better

Post#1 » by Magic44CR » Tue Jan 15, 2008 3:32 pm

I don't know if this is a good trade for everybody but here it goes.

Orlando trades Arroyo for Pietrus

Then trade JJ and Augustine (possibly a pick or Fran) to Mil for Villanueva

Orlando line up would be real tough and have alot of depth. I know that Mil is on the verge of blowing it up and orlando and gs had rumors of pulling a trade off.

Nelson/Dooling
Pietrus/Bogans
Turk/Evans/Garrity
Lewis/Villanueva/Cook
Howard/Foyle/Gorat

What do you think?

I'd be in favor of that one. We don't completely blow things up and we get another guy who can play the 2 spot and we keep Dooling, which for me is very important. I'd do it in heartbeat.
You look confused...let me fill you in.

I like it. But, as with virtually every trade posted on RealGM, the fans of the other teams involved will likely say "no way!!!".

id like to get CV and Simmons from Milwaukee to help boost our bench...supposedly they are having a fire sale...all the fans seem to want Simmons gone ASAP and CV needs to go, but it will most likely require a 1st rounder...if we can shoot off expirings and a 1st rounder for both, we should jump all over it...

Simmons, not the best player in the league, surely not living up to his contract, but, off the bench the guy can hit shots, defend, he's great beyond the arc and he can get to the hoop...CV can shoot it long, rebound and drive...

??
Evans
Simmons
CV
Foyle

pretty nice bench

as for MP, im not sure there...

You think that Mill would be looking for a 1st and expect the given team to take back Simmons contract as well? I don't see that happening.

i think they are dead set on getting a 1st for CV, thats the thing...and simmons would just be maybe Garrity, Dooling etc...just to make it work #'s wise...

The thing about CV, he is one of those charmin soft PF's. First big man priority is a rebounder and decent defender.

well CV can rebound, averages just under 6 in 20mins...he's not a "banger" but he hasn't been given a role by either teams...he would respond better to the banger thing than Cook...

So we're weakening the PG spot?

i would think that any trade that involves arroyo would then need to be backed by a secondary trade for an additional point guard.... i think thats why arroyo is sitting after playing so well for that little stretch... so he doesnt get hurt while we look for a second trade partner for a backup pg?? what do you guys think??

the only thing that doesnt make sense, is why we would trade a PG for a PG...that doesnt equal out...unless it was a big package and a PG was included...

Know what would be better trades for us?

Pat Garrity for Kevin Durant
and
Brian Cook for LaMarcus Aldridge

They work on the trade checker! Get it done Otis!

well youre right it wouldnt make sense to do it that way but in this scenario we would trade arroyo for pietrus then possibly package expirings for a backup point or possibly a backup point and a banger pf ... easier said then done ... thaughts thief??

By that time, the Bucks had summarily rejected the Knicks' proposal: Randolph and Renaldo Balkman for Charlie Villanueva, Bobby Simmons and Dan Gadzuric. -- New York Post

If the bucks turned down this deal, why would they take our garbage.

the Bucks are looking for Picks and relief, they want to keep Williams, Bogut and Yi for sure and try to build around that...Our garbage (expirings and a Pick) for their self proclaimed garbage is a lot easier to deal with than Zach Randolph and his megaton contract, ego and attitude. Not to mention the cleaning crew at the Bradley would be busy after every home game as the fans would vomit profusely on the ground every time they heard his named mentioned in their lineup...

If Otis can't make this happen by tomorrow then he just confirmed his ineptitude!!!!

He'll probably just say like "I like the team the way it is" ... idiot :banghead:

To be fair, either proposed trade is a roster upgrade. GM Smith must pull the trigger on either. The point why this makes sense is that MP and CV are both buried on their respective bench. They can be had for 80
