Orlando Sends:
Keyon Dooling
JJ Redick
Pat Garrity
Hedo Turkoglu
Carlos Arroyo
Orlando Recieves:
Gilbert Arenas
Etan Thomas
Rodney Carney
Washington Sends:
Gilbert Arenas
Etan Thomas
Washington Recieves:
Hedo Turkoglu
Andre Miller
Philadelphia Sends:
Andre Miller
Rodney Carney
Philadelphia Recieves:
Keyon Dooling
Carlos Arroyo
Pat Garrity
JJ Redick
How do ya like them apples? Philly gets their expirings and JJ, Washington gets quite the shiny package for Arenas, they could even use either piece in a later trade, and Orlando gets a bonafied all-star, a quality big man, and a SF/SG with potential (not to mention rids themselves of Dooyo). It may take a pick to sweeten the deal for Philly, but that is doable.
Thoughts?

The trade definitely helps us, as do most every trade on this board.
Philly takes a long, hard you-know-what in the you-know-what.

A long hard look in the mirror?
Seriously though, I thought they wanted to rebuild, and thus wanted expirings? Also, is Carney one of their building blocks, or is he tradeable? Would adding a first rounder make them think harder? So many questions, so few people who know the real answers...

I'd love it, but I think washington also needs a pick to sweeten the deal, I think they would shoot it down before anyone (obvioisly we don't as it is geared towards us imo)
also alot of payroll when considering gil's extension, we'd prolly be better off with a pass first type pg

Alright, my bad folks. I guess I over-valued where I should have under-valued, and so on and such forth. Happens to the best of us. Disregard.

^^ So, we'd be the Spurs with Dwight and Kobe?
w00t, sounds nice.
Finally would get Tim here, I think he regrets not signing here, look at all the things we've accomplished that he hasn't.

i don't even like Arenas and he's now had two back to back season ending injuries. messed up.
although, i wouldn't say the value for Arenas is far off in the trade.
plus Philly would probably want a few 1sts thrown in there for good measure.
i'd rather just deal straight up for Miller.

A healthy Arenas is leagues better than what we have now. I'll take his 5.5 apg and 4rpg and 2spg along with a 24ppg anyday over Nelson. Arenas and Howard would go a lot farther than Howard and Lewis ever will.

Ya know, if you don't look at the overall picture of who got what, I think there is somewhat valuable return. If Gilbert really was talking about leavings Washington, Hedo and Miller would be pretty good to get back, perhaps plus a draft pick. Add in getting rid of Thomas's contract (or is he valuable with them now? I remember this summer they wanted either him or Haywood gone because of similar games, clashing personalities, and similarly poor contracts) and it should be ok for them. All along I thought Philly wanted expirings and youth for Andre Miller. Getting Carney could be a stretch, not sure how high they are on him, but they also seemed to get what they hoped for. If you pay no attention to us sending out expirings and Hedo and getting everything we need back, which seems too good to be true, it at least looks like everyone gets a decent return for their outgoings. However, I think I made mistake #1 and misvalued key components. Anyone have anyway to fix this, or is it beyond hope?
