Who: Memphis Grizzlies(12-29) vs. Orlando Magic(26-17)
When: Wednesday, January 23rd
Where: FedEx Forum in Memphis, TN
Time: 7:00 PM CST
TV/Radio: FSN/ WRBO 103.5
Season Series: Grizzlies lead 1-0
Team Trivia Connection: Current Grizzlies player Mike Miller was drafted by the Magic in 2000 where he later won the Rookie of the Year Award for his achievements.

The Lowdown

The Magic will take on the Grizzlies for the second and final time this season. The first time these two teams met. The Grizzlies upset the Magic in December at Amway Arena 123-119. Rudy Gay scored a career high 32pts and Juan Carlos Navarro had 27pts in that win. This time, the Magic will look to even the score at FEF. The Magic are coming off a clutch win over the Detroit Pistons 102-100 on Monday night. Although Chauncey Billups did the four step to hit a bucket. It was no match for Rashard Lewis as he hit the 2pt dagger to earn the Magic their 26th victory of the season. Hedo Turkoglu led the way with 26pts and 8 dimes and Dwight Howard had 23pts and 8 boards in the win. So will the Grizzlies make it a sweep against the Magic or will the Magic get even?

Clawmark Tracks of the Game

1. Exploit the Grizzlies lack of perimeter defense. Burn them on the perimeter.

2. Shard vs. Pau: Make Shard lure Pau outside and make him pay.

3. D-12, Just do what you do best.

Easiest career high Mike Conley's ever had.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

Magic get even, look for the Magic to take a lot of 3's. Dwight will dominate Darko and Pau. Go Magic!

Although I'm not gonna watch the game and we won last three games I watched (I skipped Bobcats game and look what happened), I think we should win.

This is a classic let-down game. Last year, the Magi lose this game. This year?

StM needs to prove his worth here. A focused Magic crush the Grizz. But we will see.

Magic line at 3.5. If I was a betting man ...

Anyhow, the Magic should cover this spread.

We do have a tendency to lose these "easy" games after a big win. But I really think this victory over the Pistons gave us something. I see Dwight, 'shard and Hedo all going for 20+.

Its going to be a tough one, but we should pull it off. Lets see if Jameer's absence will mean anything.

Grizz have won 8 or 9 of our last 11 meetings so I think a beatdown is in order.
Hopefully we're not overlooking this game for Friday in Detroit.
I'll be at the UCF-UTEP game and will catch the 2nd half when I get home.

Magic need this win with Detroit and Boston coming up. Just play defense unlike last time.

Comes down to this:

If we play with intensity and try on defense, we win.

If we don't, we lose.

My predictions:

-Magic win in a high scoring game, both teams above 100. Magic win by 9.
-Dwight Howard has a monster game. 27-30 points, 17-20 rebounds.
-Rashard or Hedo have a big game, but not both. I'll guess that, tonight, Hedo gets more of the defensive attention and Rashard is the one with the big game.
-Very random prediction: Dooling has 3 steals.
