I know many would say this belongs in general or in the Nets forum but I was curious as to what most think of the Nets situation? Here's a team with 3 all-stars and a bunch of great young talent, S Williams, Wright, Boone, Nachbar, the guard Williams. You'd think they would be running away in the weak east and instead they are stinking up the joint. Just watching the game on TNT with GS and they just let GS go on a 22-0 run to go down ten. Well now they caught up. But my point is, with so much talent on this team and probably the 2nd best pg in the league in Kidd, why are they losing so much? I've always thought it has to be the coach. How has Frank been able to hold his job so long? I'm thinking a good coach would have these guys just behind the Celtics.
Personnel wise I'd say they have superior talent than us. At Center Howard has it. At PF I give the edge to Lewis for his scoring even though eh can't rebound. At SF Jefferson obviously better than Hedo even with Hedo's great season. Carter and Kidd no contest over Nelson and Evans, so much so they deserve a double edge. And bench wise the Nets have the advantage. So seems coaching is such a huge factor here given the Nets record and the Magic record. What would this Nets team do with a SVG or even JVG. A Pat Riley. Just wondering.
Nets lost. Dropped 8 out of 9

How long is it gonna take before people realize that talent doesn't win games?
It's how the talent fits together. They have no real big men. Jason Kidd can't shoot. Richard Jefferson and Vince Carter don't mesh well because they're similar players. The team has no shooters and no good defensive players.
Plus the coaching is horrible.

They got a nice future ahead of them specially if they trade VC and Kidd and manage to get something nice in return.
C-Boone
PF-Williams
SF-RJ
SG-Wright
PG-Williams
And ver nice back ups in Nachbar,MagloreKristic,Armstrong etc.
Williams is a very nice PG,Wright has ok defence and good shoter, RJ has been ballin this season is a legit scorer, Williams (PF) very good defender shot blocker, Boone nice Center who can rebound and score if he has a good play maker.

There is something wrong with their chemistry right now. I couldn't tell you for sure what it is. And whatever it is has cropped up at minimum the past two seasons during certain parts of the season. But they usually manage to pull it together and make the playoffs because they have superior talent to a lot of the other teams.
They need to do something with that team, though. It's not right. The coach is the same guy who has gotten them to the playoffs all these years. I think it's something to do with the players -- though not necessarily their skills.
