Hedo is more untouchable than Rashard at this point.

the only reason people want to trade hedo is because rashard sucks so bad at PF and our defense sucks. i still want to see hedo in a manu type role.

I'll pass on Hedo being a pansy flopper.

TooNice00, that is NOT why I want to trade Hedo, and it's not why many of the others don't either. We want to trade Hedo because his value will never be higher, it's our best tradeable asset, and the best piece to move that will serve this team for the long haul. Now IF the Magic can acquire a PG or a PF without trading Hedo, great. Move him to SG, and move Rashard to SF. But I don't know if that'll work either.
Basic point is this: Rashard CANNOT stay at PF the rest of his contract. It just won't work in the long haul. It's not good for him, and it's not good for this team. Trading Rashard is nearly impossible now because of his contract, we wouldn't get anywhere near equal value. Hedo on the other hand, is easily movable because of his good contract, and the way he's playing.
We all love Hedo, but some of us have a different opinion on the best ways to improve this team and become a true contender.

and that was my basic point too. if rashard wasn't a crappy PF nobody would want to trade hedo.

I as one of the most senior member of this board proclaim that Hedo Turkoglu being traded is unacceptable, and will result in the corroding and untimely dimise of the franchise. In other words, keep his ass here. We need more buzzer beater wins like today!!!!

So your feeling is to ignore the situation, be ok with being a good team but not a great team, and just hope that somehow the Magic find a way to put a good enough team together with Rashard staying at PF? Yea, I somehow don't see that happening. I would like to see it happen, but I just don't think our defense will ever be among the league's best with Rashard at PF.

i understand the situation. but trading hedo right now isn't the answer. really what young talented PFs are getting shopped around the league? probably none. with dwight howard we just need an average one. you can get those through the mle and draft.

Could Turk play the 2? That is the question. Let me think about some available power forwards.

You are just a hater , some people may want to trade Hedo for this reason but at least they are happy when Hedo plays good and appreciate what he did for Magic.I don't know what are your reasons , maybe you are a racist maybe a mix of several things , but if someone finds your posts this season I am sure there will be like 500 Hedo hate posts. I want you to know that I don't like people like you.
Here is your reaction after Hedo's increadable buzzer beater today
hedo is lucky as hell
, even Celtics fans were happier than you I bet.

I would put Hedo at SG, why not? To bring a mid-range shooting PF into the mix, and not lose Hedo's production we put him at SG, Rashard at SF.
Done and done.

Don't you love it when after beating Celtics with a buzzerbeater a
"Don't Trade Hedo" thread turns into a

lol i haven't expressed any hate about hedo in this thread or for a while since i started one thread saying i would rather see him in a manu type role. i was just defending him by saying trading hedo isn't the answer. and whats wrong with my reaction of saying hedo was lucky as hell. that was a lucky shot...don't have to read into it looking for some hidden message i was trying to make..lol

I agree. But the way he's been playing, it's hard to justify him coming off the bench. I think the 6th man position should be glorified more. If it was a spot where someone like Turk can come in and still play 30+ minutes, it would be great. Manu is a special player. He's not caught up with self interest. He's a true team player. Besides him and KG, I can't really come up with many that excel with this "team player" concept
With this said, it might actually be best to trade Turk for a promising, young true power forward. I'd trade him for Sean Williams in NJ. Of course at the end of season. Wait to see how far we make it in the playoffs. We're gonna be introuble with rebounding.
Or we can scratch all this and say trade Sheed for Kid and Sean Williams. Throw in a few expirings and I think we'd have a pretty strong team.

He's not fast enough nor defensive minded enough. Kobe, Wade, Redd, Crawford, Monta Ellis, Gordon, Joe Johnson, Kevin Martin, Josh Howard, Jason Richardson, would have career nights.
