Turkoglu a long-shot for the AS game and Dwight a long-shot for MVP. The AP is supposed to be unbiased, and neither forecasts added anything to the game recap.

Howard added two three throws, a feat of some magnitude for the 59.6 percent foul shooter, to raucous chants of "M-V-P!" The fourth-year standout is a long-shot candidate, and his Magic were looking good at the time: up 69-53, in the third quarter.

Yeah, there have been other times when AP post game articles tend to show bias. In this case the AP could defend themselves by looking at Turk and Dwight from a Vegas standpoint. Both of them are long shots in their respective categories because of the other great players to be considered in front of them.
I agree with you though, there's no reason to add those things. AP post game articles should report events that actually took place and not be injected with predictions or odds.
edit: I'm not sure why I quoted the TC when I was the first person to respond.

Yeh well ESPN just put Reshards last second and Hedos last second as the top play. The conspiracy deepens.

Well the MVP usually goes to one of the top three teams in the NBA.
