I didn't mean to put that post in here thought I was in the trade forum, oops. lol but anyways an Orlando 1st, Cleveland 1st, Redick(Shooter), and expirings while clearing almost 20 million dollars off the books which would put them at around 39-40 million for next season. It could set them up nicely.

Orlando/Artest = NY/Oakley = Chicago/Rodman = Pistons/*insert name of any "Bad Boy"*

An enforcer with skills has always been a part of that championship equation.

Yeah, but when he was with Detroit, Rodman hadn't gone crazy yet, and when he was with Chicago, Jordan kept him in line. And how many times did he go into the stands to attack a fan? Who is on the Magic's roster that Artest would not take the head off of if he got in a bad mood? (If Mike Tyson had stayed on his meds, he might not have raped a beauty contestant, bit off part of Evander Holyfield's ear or pounded on some old man in a parking lot either.) Artest might not win the fight, but he's crazy enough that he wouldn't be afraid to go after anyone.

1990-2000 Bulls: 17-65
2001-02 Bulls/Pacers: Bulls went 15-67; Pacers went 42-40
2002-03 Pacers: 48-34
2004-05 Pacers: 44-38 but Artest was suspended all but 7 games. Pacers still advanced to the East semifinals without him.
2005-06 Pacers/Kings: He played 16 games for Pacers (this was the take time off to promote rap album season) and 40 for the Kings. Pacers finished 41-41 and made the playoffs. Kings finished 44-38 and lost in the first round of the playoffs
2006-07 Kings: Finished 33-49 and missed playoffs.
2007-08 Kings: Missed 17 of first 46 games for elbow surgery, and from what I read, the surgery was something he suggested, not the Kings.

So, as far as I can tell, the only seasons he really helped any teams were the 2002-03 Pacers and the 2005-06 Kings. And neither of those teams made it past the first round of the playoffs. This is his seventh season in the league.
