One scenario would have Kidd returning to Dallas, where he started his career, and probably would include another team. The Nets, the source said, would get Devean George, DeSagana Diop and draft picks. Jerry Stackhouse may have to be added to make it work financially, but there likely is more involved.
People close to Rod Thorn said he's grown tired of Kidd, who didn't seem that broken up over the Nets' ninth consecutive loss Sunday night.
That is basically Dallas' garbage.

I'd like to have Kidd, no question. But if it were humanly possible I'd like to keep Hedo and Shard with him and Dwight. Imagine the damage Hedo, Shard and Dwight would do with Kidd directing the show.

Sure for expirings and picks. But anymore then that would be a nono.
I dunno who'd have to be packaged but something like Dooling, Garrity, would be fine. Mabye throw in Carlos, I really don't know. I don't feel like running the numbers. If they could do it, and get a lineup of Kidd, Evans, Shard, Turk, Howard i'd be all for it.

I think our best option of picking up a player will be facilitating another teams trade not getting the star players like Kidd.

Exactly keeping those three would be an absolute must but i think we should be able to do that.
Devaen George, Desagna Diop, and Jerry Stackhouse are all expirings.

Kidd
Evans
Hedo
Shard
Dwight
but it wont happen...i doubt that kidd will even move this season to be honest...i just done see Thorn throwing him away though, if it does happen...

If the nets really do "throw him away" it makes sense for them to ship Kidd out west -- big name players are more likely to be shipped to the other conference rather than within the conference, all things being equal. so if all the nets want is expirings, I bet he'll wind up in the west.
for us to have any shot at kidd, we have to offer a piece that the nets view as useful long term

He doesnt even have to give meer up arroyo auggie reddick ALL EXPIRINGS!!!! who cares all they want is expirings pick him up he could only help him and D12 played together for the USA team this would help our team soo much, ive said in the past that i didnt want to trade for him but if all they want is expirings... come on otis do work

are we "legit"? and what do we do to improve the bench from there? and does Otis become GOD?

If we land Kidd, I really don't think we do much else. I think our bench will be fine. Mo Evans has proven to play well in our system and I think Bogans and Dooling can add a little scoring also. We don't really need 20 ppg from a guy coming off the bench. I'd be happy where we are.
And would Otis be GOD? I wouldn't go that far. Maybe like a Messiah or something.

well Kidd isnt known for his D or his shooting, so points off the bench will be something we actually really will need...Dooling will probably be gone if we're talking expirings here...and chances are we get nothing but Kidd in any trade, i doubt we get an extra useful piece, but if we do, we can skip the mayor and messiah and go straight to god...
