In addition ..., the Orlando Magic have made their interest known in recent days.

This gives us another small PG who doesn't defend. He is not an upgrade over Jameer or Arroyo IMO.

He is small. He may still be more explosive than either of the 2 pg's currently. Haven't watched him much though the last year or two.
I don't think it changes the chemistry or success of the back court.

Couldn't be worse than Arroyo.
But I don't see it.

but another shooter...actually this might solidify the fact that we are looking to deal arroyo or dooling for a PF

I agree, it makes no sense adding Stoudemire unless we have another deal in the works moving either Arroyo or Dooling. My dream... Arroyo/Garrity/Redick/1st Rd pick for Corey Maggette and filler.
Nelson/Stoudemire
Maggette/Evans/Bogans
Lewis/Bogans
Turk/Cook/Auggie
Howard/Foyle

Agreed, but it could very easily be a sg too. Evans is playing well, but he's still best suited coming off the bench. As to getting Damon, I wouldn't mind getting a one/two year mentor for Jameer. One mighty mouse to another so to speak.

Well my source told me that Otis' dial-up account with Juno has expired for some time and he recently got himself DSL, because of the DirecTV package deal

, so he's catching up on reading these boards.

yea if the magic are looking at the original mighty mouse, then they might be looking to trade arroyo...damon is an upgrade over arroyo in some areas where he can hit the 3, and a better passer..his fg % is a little low..but there prolly isnt much difference in the defense..

well, i just finished reading the article and Orlando wont land this guy with the Celts, Spurs, Suns and Raps after him...
in addition, Arroyo is a better shooter than Damon, no question, but Damon is a vet and can get to the basket much better than Arroyo...

YESSSSSS this is a very good sign!!!!
Somebodys out the door(arroyo-dooling) and trade will be made.
Pick Damon to shore up the backcourt...He can hit the 3 and penatrate way better than arroyo.

The Magic going after him tells me that Otis is really looking hard at making some sort of deal for a SG or PF or both.

We would have the edge I would think. None of those teams with maybe the exception of Toronto can offer him a starting job and a trip to the playoffs. Boston is in love with Rondo, I don't see Damon starting over him. With Jameer hurt, and maybe worse than we thought, he could easily slide into the starting pg slot here. He's clearly better than Arroyo and Dooling, which ever one stays that is. At least we know that Otis is scheming. It would be a waste if we didn't take advantage of our expiring contracts.

Depends if he's chasing rings or if he's looking to be a full-time contributor.
