Where does he expect to go and get a lot of minutes.

I mean he can't get minutes over Mo Evan, Dooling, Bogans? He doesn't have a chance

We should put him in a package for Kidd.

If Bogans or Dooling are in a trade package, Redick will get more playing time. That, or a SG injury, is all StM needs to wait for.

For what Agents get paid Reddick's agents should be tripping Dooling and Bogans even Evans regularly. Even pay people to do it. Can't get good help these days.

Where does he get the chutzpah to demand a trade?

I bet JJ plays tonight, that's one incentive for some fans to go see the Heat tonight.

The thread title says "demand," the source title says "request," the text says, "Representatives for J.J. Redick have repeatedly approached the Orlando Magic about a trade ..."

Allow me to restate my statement:

Where does he get the chutzpah to request a trade?

Otis Smith and JJ Redicks trade conversation probably went something like this:

JJ: Mr. Smith, I would like to be traded.

Otis: Why?

JJ: Because I feel it's wrong I'm not playing considering who I am.

Otis: And who are you?

JJ: I'm JJ Redick

Otis: Who?

JJ: JJ Redick

Otis: Sorry, I missed that...

JJ: JJ REDICK!!! 2006 College Player of the Year!!!

Otis: Oh, I had completely forgotten that, but this is the NBA. Get back on the bench and shut up!!!

i want to know how svg says jj works hard in practice and does well in games over and over agian.... doesnt that relate to him being a nba level sg? every ohter team in the nba lets thier young guys play so you can evaluate them... thats what you do .... even detroit is benching hunter to play thier young guards....

Detroit has a virtual lock on their division. At this point, us not so much. Detroit has 4 possible all-stars on their starting roster, they can have the talent to afford to let others play with it not hurting them so much.

I just don't get the whole Redick thing.

Somebody is way off in their valuation of Redick as an NBA player.

Two head coaches imply that Redick sucks.

The GM has an opposite view.

The fan base is forced to guess because Redick rarely if ever plays.

Could it be that Smith really believes in Redick's potential, or is Smith just unwilling to part ways with another draft blunder?

I have my theory..........

Jesus Hell.

Is Redick's name REALLY that hard to spell!? My goodness! People that are unable to spell his name should be banned from the forum.

It annoys me so much.

Thank you.

The GM's priority is value for his players at this point near trade deadline. Should Otis have any deal on the table it's in his interest to cast issues like this away and keep value relatively high in the process.

Declercq was a bigger issue I think.

There are only a couple of places in league where he gets consistent playing time. SVG should have JJ guard someone like Kobe, Tmac, etc for 40 minutes. Right now teams dont gameplan for JJ that would change with consistent playing time.
