Get the Ball DOWNLOW TO DWIGHT!!!!

He had great positioning and got called for at least 3 3 seconds because no one is looking for him. Right now he's just a man that sets picks in the 2nd half and that needs to change for sure. We just can't go through long stretches like we have been without getting our best player the ball. I hope we were just doing this lately to get Hedo into the all-star game and it will change starting at the next game. This is starting to remind me a lot of last year.

The PGs could do a lot better in finding Dwight, but the Heat would have 2-3 guys around Dwight to prevent the ball to go inside to him (2 in the front, 1 in the back; or just 1 in the front and 1 in the back) and it took away a lot of Dwight's touches.

I'm all for getting Dwight the ball more. But we've won what, 5 of our last 6, with that one loss being to Detroit? Yea, i'm not too worried about it. I'd understand if we were losing and it was obvious that was the problem, but i think right now the Magic are trying to send a message to the league that they're not a one trick pony, they can go at you from a variety of angles.

It is pathetic seeing our guards wave off Howard like he is Foyle. Howard had a total of 4 plays called for him in the 2nd half.

Speaking of Adonal, I think he should get posted up a ton more with that 2nd unit, the man is a scoring machine in the paint.

is that the same message that they sent at the start of the season??? that we can beat you when we're hot, but when we're not, teams like Charlotte and Atlanta can even walk all over us?

with that said, until Dwight really needs to limit his TO's too because i think that hurts the amount of touches he gets in a game and makes the team reluctant to send it in to him.

it's a 50/50 crap shoot right now...over the past 2 weeks he's been making a lot of dumb mistakes downlow. Dwight CANNOT dribble, but he's been doing it a lot more lately, thus turning the ball over...He's been getting bad position, causing him to start his offense to far out and he's not taking people off the dribble like he had been doing. His shots are falling with the same frequency that they had been. He's getting more and more frustrated down low causing him to make some bad decisions with passing and shot selection...

on the other hand, if you pass him the ball 30 times, chances are that he will connect on at least 15...

idk man...seems to me that Dwight is in a different place right now...

He can't get into any flow. They don't even give it to him on consecutive posessions anymore. It's like "OK Dwight you've had your touch, now set some picks for Hedo until the next quarter."

You know, I like Hedo and glad we are winning, but someone needs to remind these guys that Dwight is the main cog here. Not Hedo. Hedo and Shard are doing what they are doing because he's out there with them. We need to get back to feeding our monster. It's not like that strategy stopped working, everybody just got Hedo high. I didn't like Dwight's body language at all last night. You knew he was freaking pissed!! They have no excuse not to feed him in the post 10 times per quarter at least.

When the Magic were holding a small lead in the second quarter, and Blount had two fouls, I was amazed that Howard wasn't given the ball down low EVERY PLAY.

Howard getting the opponent big in foul trouble is a strategy StM does not enough employ.

we are using dwight less and less as the year goes on. it is a result of everyone on the court plus SVG. but don't worry we will continue to ignore dwight, we do it every year. maybe just maybe this team will realize we'll never go anywhere until dwight is "the man" on offense.

well in defense of SVG, it may be a possibility that he tries Dwight out for the first so many touches to see which Dwight he's got tonight, and if he doesnt get something and we are needing that surge, he goes another route...it's both plausible and probable...

You have to agree that getting Blount into foul trouble was a key to winning. That means Howard.

well no doubt, but look at the 3rd quarter, the guy had 4 fouls, why couldn't we capitalize? Dwight was getting offensive calls left and right, as well as 3 seconds calls, the refs weren't going to make it easy on Howard hitting him with 3 fouls in 7 minutes and hitting him with a foul early in the 4th, so SVG had to go the other way...

I disagree, the reason Hedo is having an allstar year is due to Dwight. dwights presence demands so much attention that leaves our perimeter guys free to do what they are doing. I agree that he must be more involved not necessarily to score but he has to touch the ball to attract opponents and then dish it out to open players.

Think about it, is it easier to score with 3 or 4 people on you or just 1?

you guys are right dwight doesnt need to shoot everytime but he must touch the ball on almost every possesion ... easy shots are the result of him touching the ball. isnt that what we want easy shots?? dwight caves in deffenses giving us what we need.

Most games, I would agree with you. But I have to say....I didn't like Dwight's body language for a significant part of the game last night. He just didn't seem to be into the game, even at the beginning. He was moving in slow motion. He wasn't the only guy because, until the fourth quarter, most of them played like they thought they just were going to win the game without any opposition. Keyon really was the guy who showed the most energy. Adonal Foyle scored more points from the field in the first half than Dwight when he played in the first quarter. Almost all of Dwight's points came on free throws. There was one play where I saw him run the floor, and put his hands up deep in the post, but Carlos either didn't see him or ignored him.

At the end of the game in the second half, Dwight did go up and get some rebounds that the team had to have. And even I was frustrated that they didn't get him the ball more in the second half, especially when Earl Barron was on the floor. You mean to tell me that he can't score on Earl Barron? They shouldn't ignore Dwight at all, and he didn't get fed at all in the second half against the Heat. That was wrong. But last night, he didn't seem to show a lot of interest.

If it was only last night that this happened it would be ok. But it's been going on for quite a few weeks now.
