Sorta OT - Trade talk involving Swift heats up again

I found this and thought it was interesting. It states Memphis is in discussion with 2 teams in trying to trade Swift. Can we be one of them? The article does not mention which teams they are.

Stromile Swift may not work in a Grizzlies uniform much longer once he returns today from a team-imposed, one-game suspension.

The on-again, off-again flirtation with potential trades involving Swift were on again Wednesday, although totally unrelated to the recent disciplinary action against the forward/center.

Memphis was considering at least two proposals, although no deal appeared imminent.

If we did trade Redick, i'd hope it would be for a decent low post player....Maybe Wilcox

If we could add a Chris Wilcox or Stromile Swift to this lineup before the playoffs that would be great, as we know playoff basketball pretty much is determined by the guys in the paint. I would drop JJ for either one. JJ just isn't gonna be successful here. Might as well get a decent big man for him if possible.

I would not drop JJ for Stromile, but I would love to get him. What could we offer them? Garrity? Arroyo? What about getting Lowry in this trade too?

Which leads to a question....why on earth would anyone trade a decent low post player for JJ Redick?

would Pat Garrity, Arroyo and 2 2nd rd picks for Lowery and Stro work? maybe toss in Fran since they have Navarro and Pau, maybe they can bring Fran over.

Nelson/Dooling/Lowery
Mo/Kebo/JJ
Lewis/Turk/Mo or Kebo
Stro/Cook/Auggie
Dwight/Foyle/Gortat

Would love to have Lowry.
I think he can be a quality starting PG if giving a chance.

Update: The Nets have offered a deal to the Grizzlies that would send Swift to New Jersey in exchange for Jason Collins, the Commercial Appeal reports.
Analysis: Memphis is reportedly hesitant to pull the trigger on this one because they don't like Collins as much as New Jersey likes Swift. Still, it looks like Swift's days with the Griz are numbered so stay tuned

The papers in New Jersey are reporting that the Nets are going to send Jason Collins to the Grizzlies for Swift and that the deal likely will be completed before the weekend is out so I guess we'll never find out who the second team was who had showed interest.

We are after Haslem but I'm not sure about Swift, he has good numbers in limited minutes.

If Riley decides he wants to stockpile some young talent we will be in line to offer a first, Haslem would be a huge addition if it could get done.
