The Magic at home: have they turned a corner?

The Magic are riding a five game home win streak. Wins inlcude Portland, Boston, and Detroit.

As well, the Magic have played more than a full month of competitive basketball at home.

So, have the Magic turned a corner to become a strong home team?

The last nine home games:
Dec 26 NY Knicks W 110-96
Dec 29 Charlotte W 104-95

Jan 2 New Jersey L 95-96
Jan 4 Houston L 94-96

Jan 15 Chicago W 102-88
Jan 19 Portland W 101-94
Jan 21 Detroit W 102-100
Jan 27 Boston W 96-93
Jan 30 Miami W 107-91

My vote, a partial yes. There will be disappointing loses. But the wins are clearly there for the coming soft'ish second half of this season.

maybe...did you see the way they played last night? there was no energy there at all minus the first 2 minutes of the 4th quarter...they need to ignite it at home man...the fans wont be too thrilled if they keep up the lackadaisical play...

No.

To turn a corner, you have to be good as a team.
We're winning mainly cause of a couple players. The rest of the squad is garbage, sooner or later we're gonna find this out the hard way by getting an early exit in the playoffs.

Nope way to early to say. But they seem to be headed in the right direction.

no..the magic are fake..they trick the fans into thinking they are amazing again..tahts exactly what they are doing..we are playing just a little better than the competiion..not the full potential we are capable of.

if we play at full potential..we will be like the team that started the season hot.

I give it a partial yes as well.

I always assumed the losing at home would eventually balance out. It's rare for a team to have such a great road record but a bad one at home. Obviously, it's starting to even up - good at home, good on the road.

The Magic are the third best team in the East, and are 2 1/2 games better than the forth. The Magic still have the most road wins in the NBA. The Magic have a winning record against Western teams. THe Magic are winning their division and have the best in division record within the South East.

My question to you: how do you define "good?"

prorl was saying that he thinks we're a good team...

I think we're better than good. We're not elite, but we're in that group of teams right behind the elite.

Hell yes.
It became official with 'Shard's buzzer beater, and Hedo's might've put the icing on the cake.
The guys officially love playing at home finally and they know how to protect home court.
Will be interesting if the road will suffer because of this.

No more West-coast games. On paper, it should not. But, we'll see.
