Pau Gasol on the move?

I just heard on the radio that there are reports Pau Gasol could be traded pretty soon, before the ASG...and it might be another Vince Carter to the Nets type of deal, prime player for pitons...
is Pau the perfect guy next to Dwight? would you take him? what would you give up for him?

Pau is a terrific player. My problem is this, he is gonna take shoots away from Dwight and do we really want that?

i think his role would change, he wouldn't be the #1 option, he's be like #4 and as long as he understood he was 2nd to Dwight and he was comfortable with our system, Pau/Dwight would be DEEE-SKUST-TING...Pau will open Dwight up a lot, who do you double team now? Hedo, Shard, Pau or Dwight? pick your poison b*tch...
with Hedo's success we'd have to explore the
Nelson
Hedo
Shard
Pau
Dwight
lineup which makes us HUGE...
idk...Pau can hurt you from the outside and he rebounds well...it's not going to happen for us...but I was just getting theoretical...he fits the bill to what the fans have been asking for a legit rebounding PF with a killer shot...the only aspect would be health...

id say yes, we would have to look into this. though it takes away from Howard it would help the team as a whole. Lewis would go back to SF I would stick Hedo at SG. Gasol fits Howard perfectly. This should actually allow mroe open dunks for Howard or atleast more one on one rather than being double teamed.

xm 141, they had a little news leader and the guy was talking mostly jason kidd and then he said he had heard at least 2 reports about the Grizz trying to make moves to reface the team and Pau was being talked about very aggressively, and then he said from what little he's heard it sounds like the VC situation with TOR/NJ...

We would probably have to give up Hedo to get him though.

according to this guy (and its just rumors obviously) the Grizz are just trying to get instant rebuilding assets to draft and retool right away...never know til you try...
besides, west coast team shipping a west coast star out east? happens all the time

yeah when I saw you said like VC situation. Thats why I kept Hedo... I doubt they would do it though because they have a ton of PGs. But I would give them Carlos Garrity JJ Dooling Fran?

i wish too
Garrity, Dooling, Arroyo, Augustine and future 1st...and we'd have to sign a free PG right away obviously...but i would definitely do it if it were that easy...you have to...

It would cost us Hedo to start with.
Hedo Turk
Tony Battie
Carlos Arroyo
JJ Redick
1st round pick
The cool thing is, whoever gets Pau Gasol gets Juan Carlos as well.
Crazy as this sounds...I might actually do this trade. Only if we get Juan Carlos. We'd still have enough assets to make a run at Josh Childress as well. I'd say do it!

question is, does
Nelson/Hedo/Shard/Pau/Howard trump Rondo/Allen/Pierce/KG/Perkins?

1) Hedo is going nowhere...Otis and his crushes = no trades, not never...
2) why would the recipient of Pau automatically get Juan Carlos? they arent siamese twins...
3) you dont know that it would take Hedo to get it done...you have to assume that Otis is keeping our big guys in mind when making deals, Hedo,Shard and Howard are probably sticking around through any deals...he wants to build on what he has...

If Memphis wanted Nocioni in any deal, you'd have to assume he might want Turk as well. I understand that Otis wants to keep his bigs but....
Memphis might want them.
Expirings aren't going to get it done and if they did take Garrity/Arroyo etc. Then what??? Last time I checked, not too many players are overly thrilled about playing in Memphis...

They are relatively beatable so far.
To me the 64,000 question is:
Does Nelson/Hedo/Shard/Pau/Howard trump
Billups/Hamilton/Prince/Sheed/McD ?

/Hedo/Shard/Pau/Howard
can trump
Hamilton/Prince/Sheed/McD
But Chauncey's ability to
beast out Jameer will cost O-town the series
