Pretty cool MMORPG that I found out about on the Pacers board. Lets you create a player to your specifications, draft him into a league, and then control his improvement, strategy, etc. You are given money to buy equipment (think NBABallerz) and training, and can bet on other games (think Tim Donaghy) to increase your worth.
Anyone already playing? I'm in the Latvian league right now, but starting.

Being doing it since last year and it's pretty cool. Some people actually pour real money into this game to gain a huge advantage. I do it the natural way. Just created my 2nd player today as my first guy is kicking a** in the Bahamas with the Carol City Cartel who just went undefeated in Banana Rum. We should take the Spiced Rum crown.

Cool, I just drafted my new guy into a U.K. division, which is infinitely better than Pakistan.
The site is up and running again for anyone who was interested but couldn't log in before.

We're 3 and 1 now after being blown out of the first game. Someone just bought our team from the Computer, so it will be interesting to see if/how playing time changes.

So I have a question here, do you actually play basketball at any point, like 2k8/Live '08, or is this all on paper? I've looked for gameplay videos, but haven't seen any.

Yea it sounds to me like it's all on paper. I'm definitely gonna give it a shot though.
Have you guys ever played Freestyle by Sierra Games? It's pretty fun at first. But when you get to the pro leagues, some dudes are just ridiculous.

It's on paper, but still a lot of fun.
My SF is making it rain from downtown in Bahamas Spiced Rum and the Carol City Cartel are undefeated yet again so far (went undefeated last season).
Meanwhile my newly created center Christos is near the top in season 5 player ratings.

Word. I've rerolled a few times now. I think I've finally hit a template I like with my SF. He's averaged 15 5 and 5 in the past four games, and I've only pumped stamina so far. Next game is in an hour.

So what's the floor attribute for? Sorta like, positioning?

Floor = midrange shooting. It's the hardest to defend, and with this game's algorithm probably even more efficient than inside shooting. It also helps with free throws.

You need floor shooting for free throws, although it's weird to see a lot of centers be better than say forwards at the free throw line.
Inside shooting should really only be used on big men.

Yeah. Blocking is probably the most powerful skill in the game (if not Floor). It's gotten to the point where almost everything I score comes from Floor or 3PT. My drives/Inside Shots are blocked with regularity.

My SF got Man of the Match today
31 points and 19 rebounds, playing all 48 mins. 13-19 shooting.

My SF is averaging about 2 MOMs a week on my undefeated team.
My C just made the Greek Junior National Team thanks to his blocking.

Haha, I'm sure your player value is much higher than mine though. I started playing on day 4 of this season. I'm 21.4x
I actually just picked up a team too. I've added a bunch of players in the 30-37 range over the past couple days, and a couple thousand more stadium seats. I'm going to see how my guy does in Division 1 competition later on this season.
