Possible free agent signee's

Post#1 » by BoricuaBoi » Wed Feb 6, 2008 3:02 pm

I know its way to early to be thinking about the off season but I was chacking out the 08 free agents, and some of them could really give us a boost. check it

Patrick O'Bryant
Sam Cassell
Ronny Turiaf
Juan Carlos Navarro
Michael Doleac
Chris Richard
Malik Allen
Jamaal Magloire
Brian Skinner
Francisco Elson
Kurt Thomas
Antawn Jamison
Jose Calderon
This off season isnt looking to shabby, there are about six players on that list that obviously arent going back to their previous teams, the others may be persuaded to play with D12. wHAT DO you guys think.

Elson and Thomas most realistics for big men, if it's going to happen...Jamison and Calderon are dreams...

Lakers will do a lot to keep Turiaf...they supposedly hung up on all traders asking for Turiaf in return...

yeah i was thinkin the same. kurt thomas would be D12 best friend. hes great at put backs and rebouns, and he is a pretty good defender ehon can run. Yeah and gettinh Calderon would be very difficult considering toronto can mach any offer. I would say our top targets should be thomas and cassell. neither should demand much money, and can help us reach that power house level.

It would be great to get Turiaf but LA might be willing to over pay him to keep him. Plus he does love LA.

I'd love for that to happen, unfortunately Kurt Thomas stated that he wants to play for a team in texas. More than likely Dallas.

the thing about the thomas statement is that many NBA players say they want to play in a certain city and then do a one 80 the other way and go to a city no where near close to where they wanted to go.

I dont understand why these players want to go to teams that end up not playing them. Juwan Howard doesnt play in Dallas, Stoudmire prolly wont play in San An, its apperant that they want a ring so bad that their willing to be an occasionally used player.

Stoudamire will play in SA, their backup is Jacque Vaughn for goodness sakes.

ill believe it when i see it, typically all these vets go places looking for a ring, instead of going to a team where they fit. for example HILL, ROSE, WEBBER. The only vet player that I can recall winning a ring after going to a great team is finley.

I'd like to nab Navarro if Jose's price is way too steep (which it probably will and should be).

Patrick O'bryant is an interesting name. If he could hit the weight room, and Howard would help there, he could get to something more physical than his current Gortat-like physique.

It is my opinion that he showed enough at Bradley to prove that he has the ability to play in the NBA. A career backup to Howard is not to shabby!
