OT: Crazy Trades!

Post#1 » by vinageras » Sat Feb 9, 2008 7:19 pm

There has been a lot of crazy trades going on lately:
- Pau Gasol to the Lakers for garbage and Crittenton
- Shaq to Phoenix for Marion and Banks (it does make sense if you give it thought, but at first glance, who would've thought that Shaq would be traded?)

Now there is a rumor I can't quite explain:
Ben Wallace to the Knicks
Quentin Richardson, Fred Jones and Malik Rose to the Bulls

Financially, it works, but I'm quite astonished to hear this rumor, these are the reasons why:
- Chicago was looking for a post presence, so why would they give up their only legitimate center for a SF, a G, and a veteran presence?
- What the hell is Isaiah thinking? Unless he's actually going to trade Randolph for Carter, there is no sense to this trade, now you'd have Randolph and Lee at PF and Curry and Wallace at C. Are you really going to let your best bet for the future and a 59 million dollar contract rot on the bench?

on the bright side maybe if they get Big Ben they won't mind giving us David Lee (in my dreams)

but Isaiah is an idiot

and Paxson is trying to get his team out of that horrible mistake and contract that is Wallace

The Knicks biggest problem is Isiah Thomas. I cant understand why he is stil there. That would be one of the dumbest trades in the history of the nba if it went down.

If J-Oneal, Kidd or Carter get traded before the deadline than that would be in excess of four or so franchise players being moved including Gasol and Shaq.
