OT: New ESPN Trade Machine...

has anyone fooled with this yet? it's basically a gimmick, it's supposed to calculate the estimated wins after each trade, it's cool in theory, but I have had a hard time adding a player to the Magic that would drastically enhance our wins...the best I could do was Chris Paul for Carlos Arroyo and this is what I got...not even LeBron gave us a huge margin, on 4 more wins due to the depth I had to dump...

poor New Orleans...

some of you guys should try it out http://games.espn.go.com/nba/trades/trademachine

It's tight! I like it..just takes some getting used to..

it seems as though, if you add more than 2 or 3 players from each team it just automatically says "you have not effected the win percentage"

Also it seems that the projections don't take the team's current records into account. After a trade I did, the final projection showed us losing five fewer games than we've already lost.

That would explain it, then.

Well, if GM Smith could pull off a Paul for Arroyo trade, he should win GM of the Decade!

haha...i think we would honestly win the chip this year with Paul...$10 to the person that posts that trade thread on the trade board...

:D

Yeah it sucks now...

I just traded Pat Garrity, Keith Bogans, Redick, Auggie

for

Mike Miller, Kyle Lowry, Juan Carlos Navarro

and it said my win totals decreased...

I think there are some moths in their logic ...

Trading Garrity for KDurant

We -6.1%
Them -1.2%

Avatar suicide....

I'd imagine that Real GM would lock your account for posting that

If you do both trades, Arroyo for Paul and Lewis+Battie for Garnett, this happens:

Orlando Magic
You have increased the winning percentage by 36.59%

Projected: W-52 L-30
After trade: W-82 L-0

This is what we need to do.

3 way trade with New Orleans, and LA Lakers

Magic send Rashard Lewis, Tony Battie, Carlos Arroyo, and Mo Evans
Magic get Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul, Hilton Armstrong, and Ronny Turiaf

Magic's new projected record: 82-0

#1 trade proposal for Magic!

Make it happen Otis!

I saw this recently, and I prayed that posters on the Magic board would not discover it.

"But, but... if we did this deal, it would add 7 more wins!"

I hate ESPN even more now.

I'm hoping no serious poster will use this to justify an actual trade proposal. God willing, it'll just be a fun toy.

I'm more worried about the stereotypical scouts ...
