Another Possible Big Man?

Has anyone thought how Drew Gooden would fit with D12? I think he could possibly have career numbers if we found a way to get him for a reasonable price. I think what they need is(besides everything minus a SF) is a solid PG, and a good SG. Hence we could ship Carlito and JJ for Drew and possibly a filler. Drew loved it here and is on record saying he wishes the magic wouldnt of traded him.

Negative, we let him go for a reason, he's uncoordinated and not really that good. We can find someone who is unknown that is just as good as him if not better.

I dissagree, I think Drew would do great next to Dwight. We can't get him though cause Cleveland has no interest in downgrading for expirings.

then we give them Nelson, have you guys noticed that ever since he came back we started losing again. I know you guys cant stand Arroyo but at least he doesnt cost us games.

Have you noticed the calliber of team we have played since Jameer came back? And the calliber of team we played on Arroyo's run? That is not a coincidence. Since Jameer came back we lost to LA, Cleveland, and Dallas. I wouldn't say the problem has been Jameer.

The Magic don't really have anything that the Cavs want or need unless they're willing to give up Hedo or Rashard, which I really highly doubt...

Expirings don't do us any good as Gooden is our only main trading piece to acquire us a talent to put next to LeBron like Mike Miller or Mike Bibby...

And Nelson, Arroyo, Dooling, etc., don't solve our PG problem, they just make it worse...

The only way I could see the Magic getting Gooden is if it's in 3-way with the pieces that the Magic send going to a 3rd team to get us a piece like I mentioned above...

And having suffered from watching Gooden the past few years, I really doubt you'd want him... He's just a dumb, inconsistent player... The kid can rebound and shoot some but he can't block shots, he doesn't play defense and he doesn't have much of a low-block game...

He wouldn't be a bad fit, but a player in the mold of Andres Nocioni should be more of what you're looking for, not Gooden...

I don't understand. We obviously need defense. It is clear as day. Drew Gooden does not solve this problem. Just another soft player.

in reality we dont need a great defensive PF just a good rebounder and none of you guys can tell me that Gooden would not be a good rebounder especially on offense after learning how to do so in Browns system.

Also yes the teams we have played have been good ones but they have been HOME games. HOME games are meant to be won. Im tired of everyone not hating that much on Jameer when the truth is he sucks. I loved this guy in college and in his rookie year, but he has gotten so full of himself over the past three years that he doesnt even look at the people interviewing him in the eyes. Get rid of him NOW, and so I dont have to hear any complaing get rid of Arroyo too. I love the guy as a player and person, but obviously hes never gonna be accepted in Orlando, by the other non Puerto Rican fans.

Drew Gooden can only torch us, that is all. I don't want that ugly, goofy bastard back here again.

Are you talking about Carlos or Jameer?

You know, the sad thing about all of this is the players seem to get on just fine playing off each other. While some of the fans seem to be trying to make it a Puerto Rican-non Puerto Rican thing. And I don't think that is a productive thing to the team. I have literally read some people say that the Magic have to keep Arroyo and should start him and give him most of the minutes because of all the Puerto Rican fans who fill the arena. I have to tell you....I don't see that many Puerto Rican fans at the games anymore, and there are plenty of sellouts. I like Carlos and am happy to have him here. But I think all of this talk is divisive, and I would feel more like the Magic's Puerto Rican fans were more fans of the Magic and not just Carlos if there was less such talk.

That's what what we "witnessed" during his tenure with us.

I agree, but I think Noc is too much of a SF.

Actually, there are still a ton of Puerto Ricans and Hispanics that attend games, it's just many of them have converted to being full-on Magic fans and realize how sh*tty Arroyo can be a lot of times. :)
