"Divisive" fans Arroyo v. Nelson

Post#1 » by BoricuaBoi » Tue Feb 12, 2008 8:05 pm

Everyone thinks that arroyo fans divide this forum. well heres your chance to vent on anyhting pertaining to Arroyo, Nelson, or either stance you take with either of them. I personally dislike nelson as our stater, and not because am an Arroyo fan. Personally if Arroyo is traded I could care less as long as it brings a better player in. But some of you guys bring the Arroyo hatred to a new level. I have always said I am first and foremost a MAGIC fan and then an Arroyo fan. so those of you that say that Puerto Ricans are trying to push Nelson out for Arroyo are out of your damn minds. Im trying to push Nelson out becuase he sucks as a starting PG.

I dislike either as a starter.

I like Jameer a little more than Arroyo because he's a bit more consistent and because he pushes the ball more.

I think Arroyo CAN be the better PG because he's naturally gifted at passing. Unfortunately he's been in the league a long time and hasn't become what he can be, so his window is closed in that regard.

This is not a productive poll or issue to discuss. You only are exacerbating the problem.

i think everyone will can agree, both suck as starters. They shouldn't start on the bucks, sonics, or timberwolves.

i wouldnt say hatred ... but dislike... we cant trade jameer because of his contract so if anyones going outta keyon and carlos ... you have to keep keyon because of his d. carlos happens to be an expiring contract and half descent backup pg... which makes him a trade chip

Personally, I think that Arroyo lacks foot speed and discipline on the court.

I think Nelson lacks vision and size.

Neither is good.

Neither is horrible.

Both are inconsistent.

No hate here......except for turnovers, bad shots, missed passes, and better defense.

I've never met Arroyo or Jameer so I don't know if I'd like either of one of them. I can't stand their fanboys on this site though. This is an Orlando Magic forum, not a Carlos Arroyo/Darko Milicic/JJ Redick forum.

I'm sure I'll get blasted for that.

Honestly, I don't see why so many think Nelson shouldn't be a starter in this league. He's been putting together a fine season.

He's not great, mind you, but at worst, an average PG in my book. I like the fact that his assists average has gone up. Arroyo really isn't that bad either, but I just don't like it sometimes when he goes into Kobe-mode and tries to take over games for us.

it is a very productive poll question because we all get to vent. The word hatred does acutratelly describe how some people feel about carlos because I have persoanlly read it. nobody hates Nelson. we all agree on that.

both are bad, jameer is slightly better, arroyo has an expendable contact. so arroyo is who wont be back, weather it be now or at the end of the season...we obviously could use a better pg, but we need a PF or SG more. someone lock this, im sick of hearing about it

i dont hate arroyo at all, but he isnt the best pg, which in fact he is the 3rd best pg on this team, nelson has many flaws and so does arroyo..opinions are opinions, nobody says anything, when at times fans hate nelson and dooling, its just an issue when its arroyo and nelson..some people take the racial issue like this thread
