devin harris is gonna be good... but kidd is great... its a lot to give up for him for dallas but it definately helps this year at least

Couldn't believe it myself...

WOW.

Anyway, Otis has to see all these GMs making these bold moves.

Lets start the shake-up, because these teams all are getting better.

Well, lets deal these expirings.

well the trade machine is saying that if this trade goes down, dallas winning % will go down by 17% from 52-30 projected before trade to 38-44 after trade, while new jersey would improve by 4 games from 32-50 to 36-46...like i said trade sucks for dallas...they lose their best center, a great backup to howard, a servicable 3 in george, and a promising young pg, while getting 2 point guards, one of which will play this year and maybe next year at a high level and the other who will leave after this year...what happens if kidd gets traded before the all star game? hedo ftw!!!!

I'd rather keep Josh Howard than Devin Harris anyway, so I don't think it's that bad of a deal if they really want Kidd.

Wow.

I guess Cuban regrets not keeping Nash...

I agree. I also think Dallas gets a decent deal as well.

I don't recall Thorn making a bad trade yet.

Yeah, I guess it's a good trade for both teams. Dallas gets Kidd without giving Josh Howard. It's obvious they'd have to sacrifice some depth and losing Diop might be a hit, but lets be serious, it's Diop, it's not Yao... Devin Harris is a good young PG whit lots of upside but would be benched behind Kidd so trading him makes sense and NJ gets his new starting PG right there. Stackhouse might get bought out by the Nets (at least reports say it) and he'll end up in Dallas again in a month. George was already complaining about playing time and Bass is not that good.

NJ gets some good value in Harris and some millions in expirings this year (George+Diop).

I like it for both sides.

I don't know about NJ, except Devin harris, the rest is trash or expirings.

They still have Carter to deal and that won't be easy...

Otis better be calling some teams and do some changes, a lot of teams are improving lately. I don't want to hear "I like this team as it is".

Williams/Harris manning your PG slot, it's going to be very interesting to say the least...2 young capable guys...

Oh here we go, lets blame Otis for not getting Kidd even though Orlando has nothing NJ would want.

yep, how long until a complaining thread? "We could have got him. He would put us over the top. We could offer all our expirings".

lol, so predictable.

I think it was a preemptive strike.

Good trade for both teams imo

I think it could be the move that finally puts Dallas over the top, only problem is they lose alot of depth and I think Stackhouse could have been big for them come playoff time

time will only tell
