Hedo All-Star? (Allen replaces Bulter)

Post#1 » by Bucs80 » Wed Feb 13, 2008 9:56 pm

With the move of Kidd to the west, this will leave an open spot in the all star game. Could Hedo finally get the attention he deserves and finally get in? I would assume that billups will move into the starting lineup and hedo will come off the bench as a guard. Maybe, just maybe this could be the chance hedo was waiting for.

Updated title.

Also, Caron Butler is still out.

So Hedo has a pretty good chance to be included...

No, he is in.

But he is currently injured and may not go also.

What I'm saying is Caron is still injured and may be left out which would leave 2 spots open.

Enter Hedo

With 2 spots open now, Hedo has to get in.

Jose Calderon should get Kidd's spot if it's based on position. If it isn't, then Ray Allen will take his spot, IMO. Hedo's only chance is if Butler doesn't play, IMO.

If Kidd isn't an all-star, you can make a case for Jefferson to get him.

The Nets could deserve one spot, they are at least in playoff contention.

so wait, Kidd will be out of the game all together?
that'd be kinda messed up since he got voted in by the fans

I'm sure they'll find a way to get him in.

Like Pat Riley says, the Commissioner has the right to, for whatever reason, add a 13th player. Or a 14th, since he'll be adding Shaq as the 13th, of course.

So hopefully Hedo makes it as the East's 14th man.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

Allen will get the spot from Kidd
Turk will get Butler's spot if he can't go.

If Butler doesn't play and Hedo isn't in its an outrage.

Why would he add Shaq? He wasn't voted in and the coaches didn't pick him in the east.

I say he takes Butler's spot if he can't make it but I think they will try to keep the same positions as they did with Sheed.

Kid will still play for the East. Same thing happened with Iverson when he got traded to the Nuggets. He will have spent all but 3 days before the All Star game in the East, so he's considered to be an Eastern Allstar.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I thought I remembered that happening.

In 2007, the year Iverson was traded to Denver, he was on the West All Star roster, though he did not play due to injury.
